About Digital Asset & the Canton Network Digital Asset builds the technologies that are reshaping the foundations of financial markets. Our mission is to create the world’s most trusted, privacy-enabled, and interoperable digital infrastructure for global finance. At the heart of this mission is the Canton Network - the blockchain purpose-built for institutional finance. Uniquely combining privacy, compliance, and scalability, Canton enables real-time, secure settlement across multiple asset classes. Governed by the Canton Foundation with participation from leading financial institutions, it is the proven link between the promise of blockchain and the power of global finance. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in New York City, with offices in London, Zurich, Budapest, Hong Kong, and Sydney— we are on a mission to transform finance— and that transformation is now playing out rapidly on the Canton Network. If you’re interested in playing a crucial role at the intersection of traditional and crypto-capital markets and want to help bring the next trillion dollars of finance on-chain, join us. The Opportunity Canton Network is the first privacy-enabled open blockchain network for regulated markets. Enabled by the Canton distributed ledger technology and the unique smart contract language Daml, network participants can seamlessly exchange digital assets while maintaining the security and privacy guarantees required for regulated financial transactions. The Global Synchronizer, developed by the Canton Network Engineering team at Digital Asset, is the engine that enables global connectivity across the Canton Network. It was launched in July 2024, in collaboration with over 30 partners across the industry, and has since attracted the attention of numerous others, from both DeFi and TradFi markets. It is also in the process of being fully developed as open source under the Linux Foundation’s LFDT, see https://github.com/hyperledger-labs/splice . As a senior engineer in this team, you will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of Web3 and Web2 technologies. You will help us tackle some of the most challenging and complex problems in distributed systems and systems security, while delivering the best quality products for our customers, all open source and public. You will get to collaborate with our existing set of talented engineers, and also help mentor and grow the next generation of great engineers.
