Senior Software Engineer - Java & Angular - fully remote

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join a growing technology business.

This is a remote position suited to a senior engineer with strong Java experience combined with hands-on Angular and AWS expertise.

You will work across the full software development lifecycle, building modern applications and APIs while contributing to technical design, architecture and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop modern, responsive front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Build and deploy applications within AWS cloud environments
• Contribute to application architecture and technical design decisions
• Develop clean, maintainable and well-tested production code
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA and other engineering teams
• Mentor less experienced developers and provide technical guidance

Experience

• 5+ years' commercial software development experience
• Strong development experience with Java
• Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Strong commercial experience with Angular
• Strong TypeScript / JavaScript skills
• Hands-on experience working with AWS
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices
• Strong understanding of object-oriented development and software design patterns
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with Git and CI/CD
• Strong understanding of automated testing and software quality practices
