Position Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain backend services and APIs that connect to supply systems, including primary API operations and legacy API integrations. The role is backend-focused, with Java/Kotlin as the primary language and Go for modern API services and microservices. The work includes modernizing legacy C#/.NET applications, so experience with migrations is a strong plus. The position requires 7+ years of software engineering experience, independent work, and strong ownership of production quality and monitoring. Frontend work (React) is occasional and optional.

You will own complex full-stack initiatives while mentoring engineers and helping shape technical direction. Senior Engineers are expected to engineer solutions, challenge assumptions, and drive technical excellence.

The project focuses on building, maintaining, and scaling backend services and APIs that connect directly to supply systems, supporting both primary API operations and legacy API integrations. Engineers on this project will focus on core backend API services and may also collaborate on cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design and implement scalable backend solutions
• Participate in architectural design and technical decision-making
• Develop APIs and complex integrations
• Own production quality, monitoring, and operational improvements
• Collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams

Workplace: This is remote role, open to candidates based in Argentina only.

Tech Stack:

• Java and Kotlin: Primary language for backend applications
• Go: Core language for modern API services and microservices
• REST APIs for designing, building, and consuming RESTful services
• AWS (EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, IAM, monitoring)
• CI/CD, automated testing and Agile delivery
• Legacy C#/.NET applications undergoing modernization
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript for UI customization
• Relational databases
• Microservices architecture

Must Have Skills:

• 7+ years experience in software engineering which includes:
  • Strong Java/Kotlin
  • Experience working with Go
  • Experience working with Microservices architecture
  • AWS and infrastructure experience
  • REST APIs: Deep experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful services
  • Relational Databases
  • Automated testing

Preferred Skills:

• Front-End Development (React): Ability to assist with front-end components
• API Migration & Legacy Integration: Experience handling transitions and maintaining partner contracts during API upgrades
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience working with globally distributed engineering organizations
• Experience supporting large-scale production systems
