The Mobile Foundation team builds the technical foundation that powers what’s next for our iOS and Android apps. ミッション / Role Mission

モバイルアプリの基盤や開発環境を改善し、社内のモバイルチームがより高品質な機能をスピーディーにリリースできるよう支えていただきます。アーキテクチャの刷新やアプリの信頼性向上に加え、開発効率を高めるツールの開発・整備にも取り組んでいただきます。

As a Senior Mobile Engineer on the Mobile Foundation team, you will enhance the core mobile platforms and engineering infrastructure that allow other SmartNews Mobile teams to deploy higher-quality features more rapidly.

You will modernize architecture, improve app reliability, and streamline developer workflows, building scalable, reusable tools that boost engineering efficiency and make releases more dependable across mobile teams.

主な業務内容 / Responsibilities

• モジュール化されテスト可能なアーキテクチャやフレームワーク、および開発を簡素化するマルチプラットフォーム技術を通じた、大規模なレガシーコードベースの刷新
• 本番環境の問題解決、起動時間とリソース使用量の最適化、および不具合の解消による、アプリの信頼性とパフォーマンスの向上
• CI/CDや自動テストから、アプリの署名・配信に必要な設定まで、ビルド・リリース基盤を整備・運用する。また、OSや開発環境の変化に応じて、アプリや開発ツールを継続的に対応させる
• 共通ツールの開発、ビルド状況の監視、品質チェック、AIを活用した開発プロセスの改善を通じて、エンジニアの生産性を高める
• エンジニアやプロダクトマネージャー、デザイナー、データサイエンティストなどと連携し、技術的なソリューションを検討・推進する。設計レビューやメンタリング、実用的なドキュメントの整備を通じて、チーム全体の技術力向上にも貢献する。
• モバイルチームのオンコール対応をローテーションで担当し、アプリの幅広い知識を身につける。問題の監視や優先度の判断、初期調査を行い、各機能の担当者が迅速に解決へ着手できるよう支援する

• Modernize a large legacy codebase through modular, testable architecture and frameworks and multiplatform technologies that simplify development.
• Improve app reliability and performance by resolving production issues, optimizing startup time and resource usage, and preventing regressions.
• Own mobile build and release infrastructure—from CI/CD and automated testing to signing and provisioning—and keep apps and toolchains ready for evolving platform requirements.
• Accelerate developer productivity through shared tools, build monitoring, quality checks, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Shape technical solutions with engineers and cross-functional partners, including product managers, designers, and data scientists, while raising engineering standards through design reviews, mentoring, and practical documentation.
• Build broad app expertise through the mobile on-call rotation, monitoring and triaging emerging issues and conducting initial investigations that give feature owners and domain experts a head start on resolution.

要件 / Required experience and skill

• モバイルエンジニアとして4年以上の実務経験、およびKotlinを用いたAndroidアプリ開発に精通していること
• 大規模で複雑なコードベースにおける、モジュール型アーキテクチャ、依存性の注入（DI）、並行処理、自動テスト、パフォーマンス分析など、Android開発に必要な技術知識
• チーム横断でのアーキテクチャ移行や開発環境・開発プロセスの改善を主導し、チームへの定着を推進するとともに、具体的な成果を上げた経験があること
• エージェント型コーディング（AIツール等）の進化する状況に適応し、それらのツールを活用して開発を加速させつつ、ココードの品質とシステムの信頼性を高い水準で維持できること
• Fastlane、Gradle、CI/CDパイプライン、依存関係管理、リリースフローなど、モバイルアプリのビルド・配信基盤に関する実務経験があること。また、繰り返し発生する作業を自動化するツールやスクリプトを開発できること。
• 日本語・英語の両方で円滑にコミュニケーションを取れること。技術的な意思決定を説明し、チーム横断で連携するとともに、共通ツールや開発プラクティスについて他のエンジニアを支援・指導できること。
• 4+ years of professional mobile engineering experience, with deep expertise in Android development using Kotlin. Experience across both Android and iOS is preferred, but strong Android expertise is essential.
• Strong Android engineering fundamentals, including modular architecture, dependency injection, concurrency, automated testing, and performance profiling in large, complex codebases.
• Experience leading cross-team architecture migrations or developer-experience initiatives, with a track record of driving adoption and delivering measurable improvements.
• Ability to adapt to the evolving landscape of agentic coding, leveraging such tools to accelerate development while rigorously maintaining high standards for code quality and system reliability.
• Hands-on experience with mobile build and delivery systems, including Fastlane, Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, dependency management, and release workflows, with the ability to build tools and scripts that automate recurring work.
• Strong collaboration and business-level communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the ability to explain technical decisions, work across teams, and mentor engineers in shared tools and practices.

• Swiftを用いたiOS開発の実務経験、およびiOSのアーキテクチャ、ビルドツール、リリースプロセスに関する知識
• セルフホストのmacOS/Linuxランナー、ビルドキャッシング、ビルドパフォーマンス監視など、大規模なモバイルCIインフラの運用経験。
• 署名やプロビジョニング、自動デバイステスト、オブザーバビリティ（可観測性）、インシデント対応など、モバイルリリース自動化および品質向上ツールの経験
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or Compose Multiplatform, or a strong ability and willingness to ramp up quickly.co
• Hands-on iOS development experience with Swift and familiarity with iOS architecture, build tooling, and release processes.
• Experience operating mobile CI infrastructure at scale, including self-hosted macOS/Linux runners, build caching, and build-performance monitoring.
• Experience with mobile release automation and quality tooling, such as signing and provisioning, automated device testing, observability, and incident response.
