At IT Labs, we are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a client project focused on modernizing large-scale enterprise applications and business-critical workflows.

The role will support the transition of legacy systems into a modern application environment, with a strong focus on data migration, system integrations, workflow automation, permitting processes, and customer-facing digital services.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone comfortable working across application development, databases, integrations, reporting, and complex existing systems.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and enhance enterprise applications using C# and .NET.

  • Support the modernization and migration of legacy applications, including systems built on MS Access, Mainframe technologies, and other legacy platforms.

  • Ensure data integrity, validation, and consistency throughout large-scale migration activities.

  • Build and maintain web functionality using JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and DOM manipulation.

  • Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and database structures.

  • Design and maintain applications using MVC architecture, including routing, application security, and maintainable development practices.

  • Develop and support secure integrations using RESTful and SOAP web services.

  • Build and maintain SSIS ETL processes, including data transformation and performance optimization.

  • Design, deploy, and integrate SSRS reports supporting operational and business reporting needs.

  • Develop and improve automated business workflows, workload assignment processes, and customer-facing digital services.

  • Support online submission, tracking, invoicing, payment, and related business processes.

  • Integrate applications with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and other external systems.

  • Collaborate with business users, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into reliable software solutions.

  • Support modernization of complex applications used across high-volume enterprise environments.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and the .NET Framework.

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, debugging, clean code, and maintainable software design.

  • Strong experience with JavaScript and jQuery, including AJAX and asynchronous web interactions.

  • Advanced experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

  • Experience developing applications using the MVC framework.

  • Experience developing Windows and web-based applications.

  • Hands-on experience with REST and/or SOAP APIs and secure system integrations.

  • Strong experience with SSIS, including ETL development, data transformations, and performance tuning.

  • Experience developing and integrating reports using SSRS.

  • Experience modernizing or integrating large-scale enterprise applications.

  • Practical experience with legacy-system migration and data migration projects.

  • Experience developing or supporting complex automated workflows and business processes.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience supporting government, public-sector, permitting, licensing, or regulatory systems.

  • Experience with large-scale application and data migration initiatives.

  • Experience with permitting, inspection, review, invoicing, payment, or similar transactional workflows.

  • Experience integrating enterprise applications with ECM platforms.

  • Experience working with systems where historical records, regulatory requirements, and data integrity are particularly important.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid engagement, with onsite presence based on the client's project requirements.

  • Full-time engagement.

  • U.S. citizenship is required for this engagement.

  • Engagement is offered on an Individual Contractor or B2B contract basis.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) is included as part of the engagement.

  • Full-time commitment, working in alignment with the client's business hours and project needs.

  • Long-term collaboration with IT Labs, working directly with an enterprise client environment.
