Overview

You’ll join as a Senior Software Engineer with 5 years’ professional software development experience, working across .NET, React.js, SQL Server and Microsoft Azure. You’ll contribute through the full software development life cycle, from requirements and design through to development, testing, deployment and support, and you’ll also work with OutSystems where needed.

How you'll make an impact

• Design, build, test and maintain scalable web applications using .NET and React.js.
• Develop and optimise database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Take part in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment and support activities across the SDLC.
• Work closely with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers and other developers to deliver quality solutions.
• Support cloud-based application development and deployment using Microsoft Azure.
• Carry out code reviews and help maintain coding standards and best practice.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support agile delivery teams.
• Learn and work with OutSystems where required as part of project delivery.

About you

• 5 years’ experience in software engineering or application development.
• Hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework or .NET Core, React.js and SQL Server database development.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, software testing methodologies, Agile/Scrum, SDLC, REST APIs, web services and Git.
• Exposure to OutSystems, or a willingness to learn low-code development platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, enterprise application environments, application security and performance optimisation.
• Able to explain technical issues clearly, work independently, collaborate with others and keep a close eye on quality and detail.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field is preferred, and relevant industry certifications are an added advantage.
