This role is four days onsite at our Lafayette Court Buffalo, NY location, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week
Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Senior Oracle Cloud Applications Developer to design, build, integrate, and support secure enterprise applications using Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), Oracle APEX, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC Gen 3), and related Oracle Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate combines advanced hands-on development expertise with experience supporting Oracle Fusion or Oracle EPM integrations, sound architecture practices, disciplined troubleshooting, clear documentation, and effective stakeholder communication.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance Oracle APEX applications, including pages, regions, interactive reports and grids, validations, processes, Shared Components, and workflows.
- Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL solutions using packages, procedures, functions, triggers, analytic functions, and structured exception handling.
- Provision, configure, monitor, and support Oracle ATP environments, schemas, users, backups, and recovery activities.
- Build and maintain OIC Gen 3 integrations and REST APIs using JSON, secure authentication, robust error handling, and established interface-development standards.
- Apply secure coding practices, least-privilege access, secrets management, OAuth 2.0, data protection, and audit controls.
- Participate in Git-based source control, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, release coordination, deployment documentation, and rollback planning.
- Create unit, integration, and regression tests; troubleshoot defects; and maintain clear test evidence.
- Translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions, estimates, and documentation while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Associate’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ systems analysis and/ or application development work experience or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ systems analysis and/ or application development work experience. In lieu of degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ education and/or relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ systems analysis and/or application development work experience
- Advanced proficiency in minimum of 1 relevant programming language.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Five or more years of hands-on Oracle APEX development experience, including strong knowledge of APEX security fundamentals.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), including provisioning, configuration, schema and user administration, monitoring, backup, and recovery concepts.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development skills, including complex queries and database programming objects.
- Experience developing interfaces with OIC Gen 3, REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and error handling.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including IAM, networking, compartments, monitoring, and logging.
- Experience with Git, branching, pull requests, CI/CD practices, release management, and deployment documentation.
- Programming experience with PL/SQL, Java, and JavaScript, plus an understanding of object-oriented development practices.
- Strong requirements-gathering, technical-writing, estimation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-communication skills.
- Experience with Oracle APEX Universal Theme, REST Data Sources, plug-ins, accessibility, workflow, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Oracle ATP autoscaling, performance tuning, Data Safe, and Oracle database migration.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or Oracle EPM.
- Familiarity with ORDS, OAuth 2.0, API gateways, and enterprise integration platforms.
- Experience with OCI Terraform, Vault, Functions, security remediation, data masking, compliance, or cost optimization.
- Experience with automated API or UI testing, performance testing, test-data management, Jira, and Zephyr.
- Agile delivery, process mapping, mentoring, and presentation experience.
