Employment Details Position: Senior Software QA Engineer Career Level: Senior Work Arrangement: Remote Nationality: Malaysian Language: Mandarin & English Salary: MYR 5,000–8,500/month Payment: MYR via local bank transfer Working Days: Monday–Friday Working Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Standby: May be required when necessary Interview Process: 1 round +assessment Benefits: Annual bonus, internet allowance, birthday benefit Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through structured testing processes. The role will be responsible for both manual and automated testing activities, working closely with development and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and execute comprehensive software testing strategies. Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing. Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or Bruno. Identify, document, track, and follow up on software defects. Prepare test plans, test cases, test reports, and quality documentation. Work closely with developers and relevant stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Support performance testing and system quality improvement initiatives. Contribute to automated testing where applicable. Mentor junior QA team members and promote good testing practices. Participate actively in Agile development processes. Requirements Minimum 4+ years of relevant Software QA / Testing experience. Strong hands-on experience in manual testing. Experience with structured testing methodologies and defect management. Familiar with API testing using Postman, Bruno, or similar tools. Experience with regression, end-to-end, and UAT testing. Automation testing experience is an advantage. Performance testing experience is an advantage. Experience working within Agile development environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Fluent Mandarin and English.
