Senior Solution Architect

This role provides technical leadership for a leading retailer's Enterprise Product Data Transformation program. This foundational initiative is modernizing the end-to-end product data, content, and digital asset ecosystem by replacing legacy on-premises platforms with cloud-native SaaS solutions centred around Syndigo.

Working onsite with the client's business and technical stakeholders, you will shape practical solutions, guide delivery teams, and build trusted relationships. This high-visibility role offers opportunities to deepen your retail-platform expertise and develop your leadership while contributing to a major digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing systems, processes, and strategic goals to design solutions using the Syndigo platform, supporting services, and integrations
• Lead architecture for Microsoft Azure services and hybrid integrations with legacy on-premises platforms
• Translate complex engineering decisions into clear, business-focused options for executives, address stakeholder concerns, and guide teams through changing priorities
• Apply software architecture best practices and cybersecurity principles
• Identify practical opportunities to use AI in applications and the software development lifecycle

Requirements

• Hands-on architectural experience in Retail Product Data Management, Master Data Management (MDM), and Product Content Management (PCM)
• Syndigo experience is preferred. Otherwise, deep architectural and migration experience in at least one of these or similar product data management platforms: Syndigo, Stibo STEP, Salsify, inRiver, Informatica MDM Cloud (DMC), or SAP MDG
• Experience designing services and integrations in Microsoft Azure
• Experience with hybrid and on-premises architecture, including integration with e-commerce systems and legacy platforms
• Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and business empathy in executive-facing situations

Nice to have

• E-commerce architecture and product data management, including search
• Adobe Experience Manager Assets and Adobe Workfront
• Other retail domains, such as supply chain, store technology, and marketing
• Practical background or working knowledge in Java and Node.js
