At Broadridge, we've built a culture where the highest goal is to empower others to accomplish more. If you’re passionate about developing your career, while helping others along the way, come join the Broadridge team.

With deep knowledge of buy-side and sell-side applications, capital markets workflows, and the competitive landscape, the Senior Solutions Consultant translates business challenges into compelling demonstrations, proposals, and implementation scope. The role remains engaged from initial discovery through completion and validation of the Project Implementation Plan, ensuring a smooth transition to the implementation and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead consultative discovery: Partner with sales to understand prospective clients’ business objectives, workflows, functional requirements, and technical needs. Assess product fit and guide the sales approach accordingly.
  • Deliver tailored demonstrations: Develop and present customized product demonstrations, product review sessions, and client desk-side sessions that highlight the solution’s value and address identified requirements.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise: Explain product capabilities, solution design, and implementation considerations to clients and sales colleagues, drawing on an understanding of the broader product suite.
  • Manage proofs of concept: Define, configure, coordinate, and deliver proofs of concept that validate solutions against client requirements, including prototyping and benchmarking where appropriate.
  • Prepare sales and discovery materials: Create presentations, discovery documentation, capability assessments, product specifications, and other sales support materials that clearly communicate the proposed solution and its business benefits.
  • Identify and communicate product gaps: Document requirements that are not met by existing functionality and work with Product Management and technical experts to assess options and determine when escalation is needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support: Bring together Business Analysts, Product Owners, Technical Sales, Infrastructure, trainers, and other subject-matter experts to address client requests and progress sales opportunities.
  • Define and validate scope: Support the capture and finalization of agreed solution scope for client signature, including detailed functional, technical, design, and implementation specifications where required.
  • Support implementation readiness: Remain involved through completion and validation of the Project Implementation Plan by all relevant parties, ensuring the receiving teams have the information needed to take ownership.
  • Support proposals and commercial discussions: Contribute to RFPs and RFIs, validate proposed capabilities, and support discussions of product and service terms within delegated authority.
  • Maintain demonstration environments: Manage and configure demo systems to ensure they are reliable, current, and ready for client presentations and proofs of concept.
  • Build client relationships: Establish credibility as a trusted domain specialist, maintain relationships with prospects and clients, and keep the assigned sales executive informed of relevant activities.
  • Contribute market insight: Provide input on addressable markets, competitive differentiation, and product strategy, and participate in industry and client events.
  • Support team development: Serve as a resource for less-experienced colleagues and share product knowledge, market expertise, and pre-sales best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting, technical sales, or a related role supporting financial technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of buy-side and sell-side applications, multiple asset classes, and capital markets workflows, including low-touch, high-touch, program trading, and middle-office processes.
  • Ability to develop broad knowledge of an integrated product suite and assess how its capabilities address client business and technical requirements.
  • Experience conducting discovery sessions, delivering tailored demonstrations, and managing proofs of concept for complex solutions.
  • Ability to translate client requirements into clear documentation, presentations, solution specifications, and implementation scope.
  • Solid understanding of the financial services market, competitive landscape, and factors that differentiate products and services.
  • Strong presentation, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, evaluate information from multiple sources, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, plan support for complex accounts or territories, and coordinate resources across teams.
  • Experience contributing to RFP and RFI responses and supporting a consultative sales process.

Success in the Role

Success is demonstrated through effective qualification of client requirements, compelling demonstrations and proofs of concept, clear and validated solution scope, strong client relationships, and a well-coordinated handoff to implementation. Where applicable, the role may carry a quota, with performance and incentive compensation linked to achievement of assigned targets.
