Senior Solutions Delivery Engineer- DevOps

As a Senior Solutions Delivery Engineer, you will guide customers through structured onboarding, migration, configuration, and optimization of Sonatype products while partnering with engineering, customer success, sales, and product teams to solve challenges and deliver impactful outcomes. In addition, you will provide delivery leadership within the Solutions Delivery Engineering team, supporting engagement quality, consistency, and peer mentorship. What You Will Do Provide delivery leadership within the Solutions Delivery Engineering team, supporting engagement quality, consistency, and best practices. Act as a point of escalation for complex or high-impact engagements, helping guide resolution while remaining within defined service scope. Support and mentor other Solutions Delivery Engineers in the region through delivery reviews, knowledge sharing, and peer guidance. Contribute to the improvement of service templates, delivery standards, and internal documentation to strengthen consistency and scalability. Share delivery insights and recurring patterns with cross-functional partners to inform continuous improvement efforts. Serve as a communication filter for regional delivery topics, consolidating updates, risks, and escalations for review with the Solutions Delivery Engineering manager. Occasional travel may be required for specific customer engagements or internal activities. Core Solutions Delivery Engineer Responsibilities Deliver Sonatype service offerings in alignment with defined scope, success criteria, and delivery standards, including implementation, configuration, and structured customer guidance. Support product-focused migration activities by executing data and configuration tasks, validating completion, and ensuring alignment with target state requirements. Provide product-specific guidance, identify issues or risks, present available options, and perform troubleshooting within the engagement scope. Manage engagement timelines, expectations, communication, and documentation, and facilitate working sessions, reviews, and customer discussions. Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Support, and Product Management, and share field insights that inform product and service improvements. Maintain accurate plans, validation records, and engagement materials, provide complete handoffs to internal teams, and record activities for traceability and continuous improvement. What We Are Looking For You are a US Citizen At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, software delivery, or related work. Knowledge of repository management, artifact workflows, CI and CD tools, containers, and orchestration. Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, modern build ecosystems, and SDLC. Ability to work with Groovy, Bash, Python, Helm, or YAML when required. Ability to lead customer engagements with clear communication, documentation, and ownership. Demonstrated experience providing delivery leadership, peer guidance, or escalation support within a regional or team-based delivery environment. Nice to Have Experience with migration or modernization projects. Exposure to enterprise DevOps, software security, or supply chain practices. Experience working with global, cross-functional teams. Familiarity with SaaS delivery models or cloud-based deployment patterns.
