Position Summary The Senior Solutions Engineer provides pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions. This role leverages deep product expertise to support the sales organization, prospective customers, and existing customers through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution design. The Senior Solutions Engineer partners closely with sales staff to assess how company products can address the needs of both new and existing customers, and translates those needs into detailed technical specifications, prototypes, and implementation plans. This is an individual contributor role. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team throughout the pre-sales cycle, delivering product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution walkthroughs to prospective and existing customers. Partner with sales staff to evaluate the requirements of prospective and existing customers and determine how company products and solutions can be configured or extended to meet those needs, including expansion or upsell opportunities within the existing customer base. Develop detailed product, design, and implementation specifications for complex customer solutions. Build proof-of-concept applications or rapid prototypes based on customer requirements to demonstrate technical feasibility and product capability. Provide technical consultation to prospective and existing customers, including capability assessments and solution validation. Act as a trusted technical advisor to both sales staff and customers, addressing complex technical questions and objections during the sales process. Collaborate with product, engineering, and implementation teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and deliverable. Stay current on product roadmap, capabilities, and competitive landscape to effectively position solutions. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical pre-sales, or related customer-facing technical role. Demonstrated ability to translate customer business requirements into technical solutions and specifications. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience building prototypes, proofs of concept, or technical demonstrations in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Solid understanding of the company's relevant product suite and underlying technologies (or comparable industry experience). Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities and prioritize effectively under deadline pressure. Experience partnering with sales teams in a consultative, quota-influencing capacity. Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
