Senior Specialist Nutrition & Wellbeing Data

Job Description:

The Global Nutrition and Wellbeing Senior Specialist enables the global execution of the Mars Snacking Nutrition and Wellbeing strategy. The role independently leads priority global projects and core operating processes spanning nutrition data, competitive insight, governance and capability building.

By connecting credible nutrition science with commercial execution, the role helps regions and divisions make better informed strategic decisions, strengthen reliability of nutrition reporting and builds organizational capability in nutrition.

The role combines strong nutrition science and technical knowledge with practical business application, helping translate nutrition and health strategy into measurable outcomes through increased customer and consumer value.

The role partners closely with R&D, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Sustainability, data and reporting teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supports delivery of Mars Nutrition Strategy and priorities
• Lead Global Nutrition and Wellbeing Data & Governance to enable performance tracking, strategic insight, internal and external reporting
• Build nutrition education and organizational capability creating evidence-based training, onboarding, guidance and playbooks for technical and non-technical audiences
• Manage governance and improve global processes, maintaining the relevant standards, processes and guidance
• Participate in Global governance forums and communities of practice
• Develop systems to monitor competition and marketplace developments and trends
• Coordinate external partnerships, academic collaborations and scientific partnerships
• Build strong working relationships across R&D, Marketing, Corporate Affairs and Regulatory Affairs

Job Specifications/Qualifications

• Minimum: Degree in human nutrition, nutrition science, food science, public health nutrition or related scientific discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a nutrition function in food or FMCG
• Experience leading nutrition, technical or cross-functional projects
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in matrix organizations
• Strong written, verbal and communication skills.
• Travel, domestic and international 5%

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.
