The NSW Telco Authority is seeking a Senior Strategy Analyst to help shape organisational strategy that supports critical communications and connectivity outcomes for New South Wales. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who enjoys turning complex issues into clear options that enable strong executive decision-making. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional and play a key role in business case development, working across multi-disciplinary teams. You will work at the centre of government, partnering with executives, agencies and industry to develop strategic options, plans and advice that support critical communications, digital connectivity and public safety outcomes. As part of the Business Case team, you will develop strategic options and conduct analysis to support development and delivery of New Measures, Cost Variations and other key proposals. This role sits within the Strategic Planning & Governance team in the DCS Telco Strategy, Commercial & Risk division of the NSW Telco Authority. In this role you will: Lead strategy analysis and option/s development to support organisational and whole-of-government priorities Use research, data and evidence to identify trends, impacts and emerging opportunities Support and contribute to scenario planning, cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments for proposed measures and other key proposals Use strong written and verbal communication skills to develop high-quality strategy papers, briefings, option papers and recommendations for senior executives to support the business case Contribute to the design and improvement of strategic and operational planning frameworks Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to inform, influence and align strategic outcomes Support key projects and business improvement initiatives that deliver practical and measurable outcomes Work alongside the commercial team on procurement needs Collaborate with professional services to ensure successful proposal delivery Work with analysts and subject matter experts to develop the proposal narrative Support the lead to mentor and guide junior team members in strategic analysis and business case development For more information on the role and its accountabilities, click here to view the role description. To be successful in this role you will have Experience in business case development Experience in strategy analysis, development and/or management consulting Experience preparing executive-level briefings, plans and option papers An analytical approach to problem solving, a curious mind, and a positive attitude Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across diverse groups Experience working in government, infrastructure, telecommunications or large complex organisations preferred.
