Grinnell, Iowa | Hybrid

This position is based in Grinnell, Iowa, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular onsite collaboration. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Grinnell or be willing to relocate to the area.

Base salary starts in the $60Ks, based on experience and qualifications, with annual bonus potential up to 12%.

At 2nd Adventure, we support a portfolio of brands, including Brownells and Crow Wholesale, serving customers across eCommerce, retail, wholesale, and distribution.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Supply Planner who combines strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and a proactive approach to managing inventory and supplier performance.

In this role, you'll independently manage a portfolio of suppliers and products, develop and execute replenishment plans, and make informed decisions that balance product availability, inventory investment, and supply risk. You'll work closely with internal teams and suppliers to anticipate challenges, resolve complex issues, and continuously improve supply planning performance.

What You'll Do

  • Own supply and replenishment planning for assigned suppliers, product categories, or product lines, balancing demand, lead times, inventory targets, and business priorities
  • Manage purchase order activity, including order placement, timing, adjustments, and follow-through to support timely and accurate product availability
  • Anticipate and resolve supply challenges, including supplier constraints, shortages, delays, and changing lead times, using sound judgment to determine appropriate actions
  • Analyze inventory performance and recommend actions to improve in-stock levels, inventory turns, and overall inventory health while minimizing excess and aging inventory
  • Evaluate and optimize planning parameters, including lead times, safety stock, minimum order quantities, and replenishment settings
  • Partner across the business with Merchandising, Demand Planning, Marketing, Logistics, Warehouse, and other teams to align supply plans with promotions, launches, and evolving business needs
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including fill rates, supplier delivery performance, inventory turns, and forecast alignment to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen replenishment processes, data accuracy, supplier coordination, and planning effectiveness
  • Coordinate House Brands kitting/assembly activities, including bill of materials (BOM) maintenance, raw material sourcing, and production/kitting planning

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 4+ years of experience in supply planning, replenishment, purchasing, inventory management, or a related supply chain role
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and data analysis
  • Experience working with ERP, MRP, or similar supply chain planning systems
  • Proven ability to independently assess supplier constraints, supply exceptions, and inventory risks and make sound planning decisions
  • Experience adjusting replenishment plans, purchase order timing, or planning parameters in response to changing business conditions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across functions, manage competing priorities, and resolve complex supply issues with limited oversight

Even Better If You Have

  • Experience in retail, eCommerce, wholesale, or distribution environments
  • Familiarity with demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and replenishment methodologies
  • Experience supporting promotions, new product launches, or seasonal demand fluctuations
  • Experience analyzing supplier performance, vendor scorecards, or supply chain KPIs
  • Experience with bill of materials (BOM) and production planning
  • APICS/ASCM certification or related supply chain training
