Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a Senior Sustainability Engineer (Green Certification) to join our award-winning team based in Riyadh, KSA.
This role is responsible for leading sustainability consultancy projects and green building certification processes, supporting clients and project teams in achieving their sustainability objectives and targeted green certification ratings.
We envisage success in this role to include:
Leading and managing sustainability consultancy and green building certification projects from the pre-concept stage through to the completion of the design stages.
Managing green building certification processes, including LEED, Mostadam, WELL, and other relevant rating systems, ensuring compliance with applicable sustainability requirements and targeted certification ratings.
Leading technical workshops, design coordination meetings, and discussions with clients, design consultants, and project stakeholders to establish sustainability requirements and compliance strategies.
Leading and coordinating a team of sustainability consultants and engineers, ensuring effective resource allocation, collaboration, and timely delivery of high-quality project deliverables.
Mentoring and developing junior team members by providing technical guidance, reviewing deliverables, and supporting their professional growth.
Preparing and reviewing sustainability deliverables, including certification scorecards, gap assessments, technical reports, compliance calculations, and design-stage certification submissions.
Managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables while maintaining effective communication with clients, design consultants, and certification authorities.
Ensuring compliance with established quality assurance and quality control procedures, documentation standards, submission protocols, and document management processes.
Providing technical advice on sustainability requirements and green building rating systems to help project teams achieve compliance and targeted certification levels.
Supporting or leading carbon credit services, depending on the individual's experience and technical background.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong experience in green building certification processes, particularly LEED, Mostadam, and WELL, including certification submissions, design-stage coordination, and compliance assessments, is essential.
Experience in leading sustainability consultancy projects, managing project teams, coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders, and reviewing technical deliverables is highly desirable.
