The Opportunity
Hawkwood are delighted to be partnering with an ambitious consumer technology business to hire a Senior Talent Partner at a pivotal point in its growth.
The business has brought in strong senior Technology and Product leaders and is undergoing a transformation, using AI and technology to rethink how it operates and build the foundations for significant growth. You’ll work closely with these leaders to shape their teams, attract exceptional talent and help deliver the business’s ambition to scale tenfold.
This is a hands-on role with meaningful scope beyond delivery. You’ll own technical hiring from briefing through to offer, whilst contributing to better assessment processes, stronger hiring-manager partnerships and employer branding projects.
You’ll join a collaborative team where there’s significant autonomy, room to challenge existing approaches, test ideas and take ownership. The culture is fast-paced, direct and low ego, with flexibility around how you work and a strong focus on outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Own hiring across Engineering, Product and Data from start to finish, building close relationships with the teams and understanding the technical challenges your hires will help solve.
- Build and nurture strong talent pipelines through targeted sourcing, market mapping and personalised outreach, creating relationships that extend beyond a single vacancy.
- Become a trusted partner to senior Technology and Product leaders, shaping hiring plans, sharing market insight and confidently challenging thinking to secure the right talent.
- Take ownership of designing effective interview processes, working closely with hiring managers to create assessments that build confidence in decisions and keep candidates engaged.
- Build meaningful relationships with candidates, bringing the opportunity to life and guiding them through a thoughtful, engaging hiring experience.
- Use AI to drive improvements across recruitment systems and workflows, using data to uncover opportunities, test ideas and make hiring more effective.
- Shape broader Talent initiatives, from employer branding to hiring-manager training, taking ownership of projects and helping colleagues develop along the way.
You will bring:
- A strong track record of hands-on technical recruitment, including hiring across Engineering and Product within a technology-led business.
- Credibility with senior technical stakeholders, with the curiosity to understand their teams, technology and business priorities.
- Strong direct-sourcing skills and experience engaging candidates who aren't actively looking.
- A consultative approach, with the confidence to ask thoughtful questions, challenge a brief and guide hiring decisions.
- Experience improving recruitment processes, supported by data and a clear understanding of the problem you’re solving.
- A proactive, resourceful way of working, with the ability to move between delivering searches and improving the wider function.
- A collaborative, low-ego approach and a willingness to share ideas, give and receive feedback, and learn from others.
We recognise how challenging the current job market is for candidates, and Hawkwood are therefore striving to provide the best candidate experience we can.
