Senior Tax Accountant – Corporate Income Tax Compliance


Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our international Finance and Tax team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely compliance with Corporate Income Tax obligations while supporting the business on tax accounting matters, tax reporting, and financial close processes.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both corporate taxation and financial accounting, with the ability to analyze complex financial data, assess tax implications, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external advisors in a multinational environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of Corporate Income Tax returns for multiple legal entities.
  • Prepare and review corporate income tax calculations, tax provisions, current and deferred tax positions.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities from a tax perspective.
  • Analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts to identify tax impacts and risks.
  • Review and validate tax calculations prepared by external tax advisors, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and Controlling teams on tax-related matters.
  • Ensure the proper accounting treatment of tax positions in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Assist with tax audits, financial audits, and regulatory reviews by providing technical support and documentation.
  • Extract, analyze, and reconcile financial information from ERP systems and reporting tools.
  • Prepare tax reports, reconciliations, and management presentations.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and efficiencies.
  • Participate in local and international tax projects and initiatives.


Requirements


Education


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Taxation or a professional tax qualification is highly desirable.


Professional Experience


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Tax, Tax Accounting, or related tax compliance roles.
  • Proven experience managing Corporate Income Tax compliance processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and tax accounting concepts.
  • Experience within multinational companies, shared service centers, or Big Four professional services firms is highly valued.
  • Previous exposure to international tax environments is a plus.


Technical Skills


  • Advanced knowledge of Corporate Income Tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong accounting knowledge, including balance sheet and profit & loss analysis.
  • Experience with current and deferred tax calculations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and large data set analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.


Languages


  • Fluent English (minimum B2/C1 level) is mandatory.
  • Additional European languages will be considered an advantage.
