In this role, you will take ownership of preparing and reviewing a full range of U.S. tax returns — including individual, partnership, and corporate filings — while ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations. You will leverage your deep knowledge of U.S. tax law to conduct research, identify planning opportunities, and provide mentorship to junior staff. Job Details: Work from home, reliable internet required Monday to Friday | 8 AM to 5 PM EST Key Responsibilities • Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S) • Ensure timely and accurate filings in compliance with IRS regulations • Conduct tax research and apply findings to client scenarios • Identify tax planning opportunities • Review junior staff work and provide mentorship • Communicate with U.S.-based clients and team members Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 4–8+ years of U.S. tax experience • Experience working remotely with a U.S.-based CPA firm • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax regulations • Proficiency in tax software and Excel • Preferred: Experience with Drake Tax software or other leading tax preparation platforms (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, UltraTax) Skills & Competencies • Strong English communication skills • Attention to detail and analytical thinking • Ability to work independently in a remote setup • Strong time management and leadership potential Why Vanigent Vanigent is an independent contract sales organization delivering measurable, results-driven outcomes that prioritize the needs of our customers.
