Senior Tax Accountant (US)

Work Setup & Schedule:

• (Monday to Friday): 12:00nn to 9:00pm
• Hybrid setup (1–2 days onsite per week)

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparation of US tax partnership return Form 1065 for foreign partnerships and preparation of Schedules K-1 and K-3 for partners in such partnerships.
• Preparation of disclosures on Schedules K-1 and K-3 relating to forms 8865, 926 and 8621.
• Working with the onshore team, the tax accountant will analyse the financial information provided by our firm’s end clients, identify any missing information and incorporate the data into our firm’s Excel workpaper.
• Using our firm’s workpaper template in Excel, the tax accountant’s tasks include preparation of taxable income calculations at the partnership level, allocation of taxable income between partners, preparation the partners’ tax basis capital account for the tax year, conversion of any non-USD currencies into USD, tracking the tax basis of underlying investments.
• The tax accountant would then bridge the allocations to CCH and prepare the investor reporting (Schedules K-1 and K-3) including footnotes from our database.

• CPA
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate clearly with onshore team.
• Have some experience working in US tax reporting for funds
• Previous exposure to and some understanding of investment funds (e.g. Private Equity) is preferred.
• Experience with major tax preparation software.
• Ideally, experience working with CCH Axcess software is preferred.
• With big 4 experience
