Life at UiPath
The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.
To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.
Could that be you?
Your mission
As a Senior Tax Analyst based in Bucharest, Romania, you’ll deliver hands-on EMEA and Romania tax compliance and operational support across local and international tax matters. You’ll prepare, review, and coordinate tax calculations, returns, reconciliations, and digital reporting, while supporting tax accounting, transfer pricing, audits, and cross-border matters.
You’ll work closely with the extended tax team, Finance & Accounting, Legal, Treasury, business teams, and external advisors. You’ll independently own your compliance deliverables, keep clear workpapers and control evidence, and flag technical or deadline risks early to senior tax leaders.
What you’ll do at UiPath
Oversee corporate income tax and VAT compliance across selected EMEA territories, making sure local filing and payment obligations are met accurately and on time, in coordination with local Finance teams and external tax advisors.
Manage UiPath’s tax affairs in Romania, handling or overseeing all relevant tax calculations, returns, reports, and payments, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, SAF-T, e-invoicing, and other local tax and e-reporting obligations.
Manage Romanian and international tax audits and inspections as they arise, including correspondence and information requests from ANAF and other tax authorities, while proactively identifying and mitigating tax risks.
Deliver assigned EMEA compliance tasks by maintaining compliance calendars, gathering source data, and reviewing advisor-prepared returns and reporting packages for completeness and consistency.
Research and support analyses on cross-border tax questions, including treaty relief and withholding tax, permanent establishment, financing, legal entity changes, and Pillar Two, presenting findings, assumptions, and supporting sources for review by senior tax leaders.
Track Romanian and relevant international tax developments and assess their potential impact on filings, processes, and tax positions.
Perform and document assigned tax control steps; maintain reconciliations, approvals, supporting evidence, and process notes; and support SOX testing and remediation with Finance, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
Spot practical improvements in tax data quality, ERP reporting, automation, and analytics, and help test, document, and implement process changes and automations that improve accuracy and on-time compliance.
What you’ll bring to the team
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation, or a related field.
3–5 years of tax experience in an in-house multinational tax team or tax advisory practice, preparing or reviewing tax calculations, returns, reconciliations, or filings.
Practical knowledge of Romanian and EMEA corporate income tax, withholding tax, and VAT.
Experience using AI, automation, data analytics, ERP systems, or other digital technologies to improve tax processes, compliance, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
Experience coordinating multinational tax compliance with external advisors and Finance or Accounting teams across multiple locations.
Experience supporting tax inspections, audits, or information requests from ANAF, and preparing accurate, well-organized support for filings and tax positions.
Fluent English, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
A highly organized, detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines, take ownership of your work, maintain complete documentation, and raise issues early.
Maybe you don’t tick all the boxes above—but still think you’d be great for the job? Go ahead, apply anyway. Please. Because we know that experience comes in all shapes and sizes—and passion can’t be learned.
