Senior Tax Manager
Private, Corporate & International Tax Clients
Are you looking to step into a role where you'll work on complex tax issues, build meaningful client relationships and be recognised as a trusted advisor rather than just another cog in the machine?
A well-established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Manager or Senior Manager to join its growing Melbourne practice.
This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of corporate and international tax matters, working alongside a highly regarded team that advises some of Australia's most successful privately owned businesses, multinational companies and listed organisations.
This is an opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys solving complex problems, providing strategic advice and partnering closely with clients to deliver practical commercial outcomes.
The Opportunity
Working as part of a specialist advisory team, you'll provide guidance across a diverse range of corporate and international taxation matters, including corporate restructures, mergers and acquisitions, international expansion strategies, financing and capital management structures, transfer pricing, tax governance and emerging global tax developments.
You'll work directly with senior leaders and clients, managing engagements from inception through to delivery while contributing to the ongoing growth and success of a highly respected practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality corporate and international tax advice to a sophisticated and diverse client base.
• Manage complex advisory projects and client engagements from start to finish.
• Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with colleagues across service lines to deliver integrated commercial solutions.
• Mentor, coach and develop junior team members.
• Assist with technical research, tax planning strategies and business development initiatives.
• Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments impacting clients.
About You
You are likely an established Tax Manager looking for your next challenge, or a high-performing Senior Consultant ready to step into a leadership role.
To be successful, you'll bring:
• CA, CTA, Master of Tax or similar professional qualifications.
• At least 5 years' experience within corporate tax advisory, international tax or a specialist tax consulting environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across Australian corporate taxation and international tax principles.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering complex advisory outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A commercial approach to problem solving and client service.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
What's on Offer
• Exposure to complex, high-value advisory work.
• A diverse portfolio of clients ranging from growing private groups to large multinational organisations.
• Direct access to Partners and senior decision-makers.
• Clear career progression opportunities.
• Ongoing professional development and technical training.
• Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
• A collaborative, supportive and down-to-earth culture.
• The opportunity to work on both domestic and international tax matters with global reach.
