Our Client

Our client is a rapidly growing technology-focused business providing accounting and tax services to SMEs. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Professional to take ownership of technical tax matters.

Who should apply?

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Ideally 7+ years' PQE in tax, from practice or industry
• Strong technical knowledge across corporation tax, VAT and payroll taxes
• Experience advising SME clients on complex tax matters
• Commercially minded, hands-on and comfortable working autonomously
• An interest in technology and automation would be advantageous

Role and Reporting Lines

Reporting directly to the CFO, responsibilities will include:

• Tax Compliance: Oversee corporation tax matters and review VAT returns
• Technical Advisory: Provide expertise across corporation tax, VAT, payroll and international tax matters
• Client Advisory: Manage complex client queries and provide commercially focused tax advice
• Tax Planning: Support clients with tax planning and non-routine tax matters
• Team Oversight: Provide technical guidance and review work prepared by the accounting team
• Ownership: Take responsibility for technical tax decisions
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and efficiencies
• Technology: Potential to collaborate with engineering teams on tax automation and product development
