Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Information Technology team, part of our Risk business at Marsh. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will lead a small team of junior Business Analysts while serving as the Super User for our Risk Data Capture platform. You will design and configure advanced questionnaires using low-code/no-code tools, leverage SQL and HTML for data customization, and bridge the gap between our technical teams and business stakeholders. Your expertise in insurance processes and requirements gathering will ensure our questionnaires align seamlessly with operational workflows and regulatory standards.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of three junior Business Analysts, fostering their professional growth and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Serve as the Super User for the Risk Data Capture platform, mastering advanced questionnaire configuration using low-code/no-code tools, including conditional logic, data validation, and dynamic flows.
  • Build and configure questionnaires incorporating complex conditional logic, data validation rules, and dynamic question flows; utilize SQL and basic HTML for customization.
  • Analyze current and future insurance business processes to ensure questionnaire alignment with operational workflows.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data mappings, dictionaries, and documentation to support questionnaire configuration and data analysis.
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test scenarios, coordinate release activities with IT teams, and conduct training sessions to support end-users and stakeholders.

What you need to have:

  • 6.5 to 10 years of experience as a technical Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring teams of Business Analysts.
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, terminology, and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code platforms for form and questionnaire building; proficiency in SQL for data validation and conditional logic.

What makes you stand out?

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency in project management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, and Confluence.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and experience in technical documentation and process modelling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with management, clients, and technical teams.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
