Company:

Marsh

Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Information Technology team, part of our risk business at Marsh. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This IT Business Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity to become a Super User and technical bridge for our Risk Data Capture platform. You will work at the intersection of business and technology, configuring sophisticated questionnaires, managing complex workflows, and ensuring seamless integration between technical teams and business users. Your expertise will drive process improvements, enhance data quality, and empower stakeholders to leverage the platform's full potential.

We will count on you to:

  • Act as a Super User and key point of contact for the Risk Data Capture platform, building and configuring questionnaires using low-code/no-code tools with conditional logic and dynamic question flows.
  • Develop complex question pathways and data validation rules using SQL, and apply HTML markup to customize question presentation and formatting.
  • Analyze insurance business processes (as-is and to-be) to align questionnaire designs with operational workflows and gather client requirements.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test scenarios, provide training sessions for end-users, and partner with IT and business teams to manage releases and improve platform capabilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive data mappings, dictionaries, and documentation while serving as a bridge to ensure clear communication between technical teams and business users.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst with proven communication skills (written and verbal) in working with management, clients, and technical experts.
  • Technical proficiency in SQL (writing queries for data validation, conditional logic, and data extraction) and experience with low-code/no-code platforms for form building.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance industry, including key processes, terminology, regulatory requirements, and proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML markup language for customizing question presentation and ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.

What makes you stand out?

  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar for requirements management and project tracking.
  • Track record of successfully conducting training sessions and driving user adoption of complex platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge communication gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders in fast-paced environments.

Why join our team?

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
