We are a team of Back-End and Front-End Developers, QA Manual and Automation Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts and Engineers, Implementation Engineers, Support Engineers — and to lay the foundation of a brand-new software development team, we are looking for a: Senior Technical Business Analyst (German speaking) Role Summary This is a rare opportunity to do high-impact business analysis work in an international context — fully remote, as part of CloudX Systems's Romania office. As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will join our local team while serving our client - a global leader in supply chain, logistics, and print & packaging. You will be the very first hire of a new development team — one that will grow to include business analysts, junior and senior developers, and IT project managers. Your work lays the functional and technical foundation for the entire team build-up: you will get deeply familiar with the architecture, business cases, and tech stack of the existing customer platforms, creating the basis for a smooth handover of development responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Platform Deep-Dive: Get up to speed on the architecture, business cases, and tech stack of the client's customer platforms — modern web and cloud technologies, including PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and modern frameworks. Knowledge Transfer: Work closely with the current external service provider to ensure a structured, complete handover of know-how. Analysis & Documentation: Analyze and document existing business processes, functional requirements, and system dependencies. Specifications: Create requirement documents, process descriptions, and technical specifications as the basis for future development work. Team Build-Up: Support the formation of the new development team, e.g. by providing subject-matter input on role profiles and requirements for future hires (developers, project managers, etc.). Act as the functional interface between Elanders Group's business stakeholders, the existing service provider, and the newly forming CloudX team. Identify risks, dependencies, and optimization potential throughout the transition phase. Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with a technical background or hands-on development experience. Solid technical understanding of modern web and cloud architectures. Experience analyzing and documenting complex IT systems, interfaces, and business processes. Strong analytical skills combined with a structured, independent way of working. Excellent communication skills and a confident manner with diverse stakeholders (business, IT, external and internal service providers). Strong written and spoken German and English — daily collaboration with international stakeholders is required. Ability to work effectively and proactively in a cross-border, distributed team. Nice to Have Hands-on experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and modern frameworks. Experience in outsourcing, transition, or migration projects. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or comparable systems. Domain knowledge in supply chain, logistics, or print & packaging.
