We're looking for a Senior Technical Manager to join our Centre Management team.

This is a great opportunity to shape the technical performance, resilience and long-term value of one of our destinations, ensuring that its infrastructure, operations and investment priorities support an excellent experience for customers and tenants.

You'll be close to the action, working with the General Manager, Centre Management team, PMPS Director Northern Europe and local, regional and corporate stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact across the asset and its long-term strategy.

If you enjoy taking ownership, leading talented teams and turning technical insight into commercial impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Why this role matters

As the centre's senior technical authority, you'll be accountable for its overall technical performance, resilience, compliance and long-term value preservation. You'll set the technical priorities, manage material risks and lead the local Technical Management team, balancing strategic asset stewardship with effective day-to-day delivery. Your advice will help shape operational, infrastructure, project and investment decisions, ensuring they support commercial objectives, customer and tenant experience, sustainability ambitions and the centre's long-term asset strategy.

What you'll be getting involved in

No two days will look exactly the same, but you'll spend your time:

  • Leading, developing and setting clear priorities for the local Technical Management team.
  • Driving technical excellence, operational resilience, asset reliability and a consistently strong customer and tenant experience.
  • Defining and delivering the centre's technical strategy, lifecycle plans and long-term asset renewal roadmap.
  • Managing technical OPEX budgets and supporting the prioritisation of CAPEX investment through clear, commercially grounded recommendations.
  • Planning and delivering complex refurbishment, maintenance, infrastructure and capital projects within delegated mandates.
  • Maintaining high standards across health and safety, fire safety, statutory compliance, governance and technical risk management.
  • Driving supplier performance, procurement quality, cost efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Leading the local delivery of URW's Better Places sustainability agenda, including carbon reduction and asset performance priorities.
  • Advising the General Manager and Centre Management team on technical risks, opportunities, business cases and investment priorities.

What success looks like

  • High levels of asset reliability, resilience and technical performance.
  • Effective and disciplined delivery of OPEX and CAPEX commitments.
  • Strong compliance, governance, health and safety, and risk performance.
  • Visible progress against sustainability and carbon-reduction ambitions.
  • Excellent supplier performance and customer-focused technical operations.
  • Long-term preservation and enhancement of the asset's value.

What we're looking for

We're not looking for someone who ticks every single box. What matters most is that you bring the right experience, judgement and leadership approach to make a real contribution.

You'll enjoy this role if you:

  • Bring extensive experience in technical, facilities or asset management within complex retail, commercial property or a comparable operational real estate environment, including experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Have held accountability for technical performance, OPEX and CAPEX management, lifecycle planning, compliance, risk and supplier performance.
  • Can lead and develop teams, influence senior stakeholders and translate technical complexity into clear business recommendations.
  • Are confident developing business cases, prioritising investment and delivering complex technical or capital projects.
  • Bring strong commercial judgement, financial discipline and negotiation skills, alongside a customer- and tenant-focused approach.
  • Communicate clearly and build effective relationships with authorities, suppliers, tenants and internal stakeholders.

It would be great if you also bring:

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, statutory compliance, health and safety, fire protection, maintenance management, construction and technical operations
  • A relevant qualification or professional certification in engineering, facilities management, construction, sustainability, health and safety or a related technical discipline.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Swedish.
