P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes. IT Services can include a wide range of activities such as: software development, data management, Cloud services, IT security, network security, technical support, establishing and overseeing access rights, procuring and maintaining equipment or software, managing the infrastructure, and defining security procedures, The overall goal of IT Services is to provide technology solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and give our company a competitive advantage over our competitors.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading the development and maintenance of the product roadmap
• Responsible for leading collaboration with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements.
• Translates complex business needs into detailed technical specifications and user stories.
• Ability to arrive at product requirements from a variety of sources (not always able to get it from the business)
  • May be responsible for defining and driving product strategy by aligning business objectives with long-term technical innovation, ensuring scalability and future-proofing product decisions. Get the business (and sometime IT) to see beyond what they currently do – or what the old system did.
  • May leverage advanced technical knowledge to drive strategic decisions about product architecture, design, and implementation. Partners with engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • May be responsible for evaluating emerging technologies, architecture decisions, and integration approaches to optimize performance, security, and system compatibility.
• Responsible for leading the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Leads engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of key features and enhancements.
• Serves as the key point of contact for all product-related inquiries.
• Communicates product vision, strategy, and progress to all stakeholders across the organization. Includes maintaining product status, costs, scope, risks/mitigations, etc.
• Tracks and analyzes product performance metrics, identifies areas for improvement, and implements data-driven strategies to optimize product performance.
• Facilitates agile ceremonies and artifacts. Ensures a prioritized and ready backlog of work items.
• Responsible for performance and coaching of staff and will have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: Generally, a minimum of 6-10 years of related experience that includes experience in Technical Product Management. Certification in Lean methodologies preferred, with a strong understanding of product development and development framework -- ideally Extreme Programming. User-Centered Design certification preferred.

Scope of Job/Qualifications: Performs product management for complex products and may have product management duties for multiple teams. Instills Product Mindset with a balanced team approach by breaking down complex problems into simple solutions focused on important customer needs. Exhibits advanced analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive problem solving and decision-making. May own product strategy and execution, ensuring alignment between customer needs, business goals, and technology capabilities. May participate in making recommendations for best practices and introducing new techniques/tools to the product management team. Exhibits advanced business knowledge and the ability to identify and define business needs including an understanding of the organization's business and technology operations. Demonstrates strong customer focus by being responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate in work approach. Viewed as a senior resource on the team.
