Data Delivery Manager (Senior Project Manager)

• Length: Contract to June 2027
• Location: Auckland CBD, 3 days per week in the office
• Tech: Databricks, dbt, Medallion Architecture

About the Role

One of New Zealand’s best-known media organisations needs a senior Data Delivery Manager to lead a major data programme. You’ll take over a Databricks platform implementation that’s already underway, and you’ll also launch a new initiative and build its squad from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across two cross-functional data squads, working to one prioritised plan
• Stand up and lead a new delivery squad
• Own a multi-million-dollar budget, along with risks and dependencies
• Drive adoption and business change alongside technical delivery
• Report progress and benefits to senior leadership and steering committees
• Line manage the Scrum Master and Enablement Lead

What We’re Looking For

• Senior Project or Programme Manager experience delivering complex data programmes in enterprise environments
• Proven delivery on Medallion Architecture data platforms
• Experience running multiple agile squads at once
• A focus on business outcomes and adoption, not just technical go-live
• Databricks and dbt experience (highly advantageous)
