Senior Test Automation Engineer

Twenty8 is hiring a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join an exciting project for the European Commission.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong technical background in test automation, capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.

This opportunity is open to both on-site and remote candidates, provided they meet the technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
• Define and implement test automation strategies, architectures, and methodologies.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Develop automated regression testing suites and improve test coverage.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate test automation tools following DevSecOps principles.
• Support the transition from manual testing to automated testing.
• Implement automated test reporting, metrics, and quality monitoring.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to promote shift-left testing practices.

Technical Requirements

We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in:

• Test Automation Frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, RestAssured, or equivalent.
• Programming Languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• API, Web & Backend Testing: Experience designing and implementing automated testing solutions.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or equivalent.
• Version Control: Git.
• Containerization: Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Test Management: Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Test Data Management: Experience managing test data for automated testing.
• Generative AI: Knowledge of AI-assisted automated test generation.
• DevSecOps: Understanding of testing practices within modern DevSecOps environments.

Certification

Mandatory: ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer certification or an equivalent certification.

Additional Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with international teams.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• French is considered an asset.
• Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a commitment to software quality.
