Senior Test Manager

Role: Senior Test Manager

Location: Germany (Remote)

Workshops: Hameln / Frankfurt, Germany. Candidates must be based in Germany and able to travel to either location for scheduled workshops.

Languages: German (C1/C2 proficiency) and English

Employment Type: Permanent (Full-Time / FTE)

Work Authorisation: Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must currently reside in Germany and have valid authorisation to work in Germany without employer-sponsored visa support.

Role Summary:

We are looking for experienced Senior Test Managers to define, organise and manage testing across a complex technology-transformation programme. The role coordinates test planning, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, defect governance and release-readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Establish testing scope, timelines, responsibilities and governance.

· Plan and coordinate System Integration Testing, end-to-end testing and User Acceptance Testing.

· Coordinate test environments, test data and test readiness.

· Ensure test cases are prepared, reviewed, traceable and executed.

· Coordinate business testers, IT testers, developers and external suppliers.

· Establish and govern the defect-management process.

· Facilitate defect-triage meetings and track defects through resolution.

· Monitor test progress, coverage, defect trends and delivery risks.

· Escalate critical defects and testing dependencies.

· Produce test-status and quality reports for programme governance.

Define the overall test strategy, test approach, test plan and quality gates.

· Support go-live readiness, release decisions and post-implementation validation.

· Facilitate test-planning and UAT workshops in German.

Mandatory Requirements:

· Senior test-management or test-lead experience.

· Strong knowledge of test strategy, planning, execution and governance.

· Proven experience managing SIT, UAT and end-to-end test cycles.

· Experience coordinating testing across multiple applications, teams and suppliers.

· Strong defect-management, reporting and escalation capabilities.

· Experience with test-management and collaboration tools.

· Strong business and technology stakeholder-management skills.

· Professional German and English communication skills.

· Based in Germany and able to attend workshops in Hameln or Frankfurt.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

· SAP testing experience.

· Banking or financial-services experience.

· Experience testing migration, integration or regulatory changes.

· Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, qTest or equivalent tools.

· Experience working in large, multi-vendor transformation programmes.

Working Arrangement:

· The role is remote within Germany.

· Physical attendance is required for scheduled workshops in Hameln or Frankfurt.
