Senior Toxicologist

The Senior Toxicologist will lead and conduct comprehensive toxicological assessments to evaluate the safety and risk associated with chemicals, biological substances, and environmental agents. This role involves utilizing advanced analytical techniques and scientific methodologies to identify potential hazards, assess exposure risks, and develop strategies for risk management. The Senior Toxicologist will also mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Main Responsibilities  Conduct in-depth toxicological evaluations of new and existing products, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and consumer goods. Analyse data from laboratory experiments, epidemiological studies, and literature reviews to draw conclusions about toxicity levels. Design and implement experimental studies to assess the effects of substances on human health and the environment. Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations. Mentor junior toxicologists and provide training on best practices in toxicology research. Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, methodologies, and recommendations for stakeholders. Profile  PHD in Toxicology or a related field (e.g., Pharmacology, Environmental Science). Minimum of 5 years of experience in toxicological research or risk assessment. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., EPA, FDA) governing chemical safety.
