Senior US Accountant - eCommerce (Client Delivery)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced US Accounting professional who has hands-on expertise in Shopify, Amazon, Stripe, PayPal, and eCommerce bookkeeping.
This role combines month-end close, AR/AP management, sales tax support, and direct interaction with US clients, along with supporting the adoption of our product SyncTools.ai for automated AR workflows.

You will lead delivery for eCommerce clients, ensure financial accuracy, manage junior team members, and guide merchants on best practices for automation and cleanup.

• Handle complete US bookkeeping for eCommerce and retail clients (QBO/Xero).
  

• Manage:
  

• Sales, refunds, discounts
  

• Payouts, settlement reconciliation
  

• Merchant fees (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Amazon, etc.)
  

• Chargebacks & adjustments
  

• Multi-currency transactions
  

• 
  

• Own month-end close: reconciliation, accruals, schedules, financial review.
  

• Lead sales tax compliance support (state nexus, filings guidance).
  

• Join client calls and act as primary accounting point-of-contact.
  

• Review and clean historical accounting data for new onboarding clients.
  

• Guide merchants on using SyncTools.ai for AR automation and reconciliation.
  

• Supervise junior accountants and ensure quality of their work.
  

• Share accounting feedback with product/automation teams for improvements.
  

• Experience with A2X, Snyder, Webgility, or automation tools
  

• Worked with AR automation or reconciliation products
  

• Experience documenting SOPs
  

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of experience in US accounting
  

• Must have worked in an outsourced US accounting firm
  

• Deep experience with eCommerce accounting (mandatory)
  

• Strong understanding of:
  

• Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce
  

• Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments, After pay, etc.
  

• Settlement-level reconciliation
  

• COGS / inventory accounting for retail or DTC
  

• Solid knowledge of US sales tax rules
  

• Expert in QuickBooks Online (mandatory)
  

• Strong communication skills to interact with US clients
  

• Leadership experience preferred
