Kroll's Investigations, Diligence and Compliance practice is world-renowned for its trusted experts, global resources, local insight and actionable advice. We help clients make informed decisions and manage critical risks through strategic intelligence, due diligence and related advisory work.
The Senior Vice President will be based in Singapore and will be a part of the intelligence and due diligence engagements across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia-Pacific region, with opportunities to work with Kroll colleagues on global and multijurisdictional matters. Assignments may include market-entry assessments, transaction and partner diligence, competitor and sector intelligence, stakeholder mapping, and analysis of integrity, reputational, geopolitical, regulatory and commercial risks.
Alongside client delivery, the Senior Vice President will broaden their contribution to client relationships, team leadership and selected market-facing activities. Working with the Managing Director and senior colleagues, the successful candidate will contribute to proposals and client discussions, attend relevant industry events, and support speaking opportunities and thought leadership where appropriate.
Responsibilities
The role combines hands-on leadership of intelligence and due diligence projects with increasing responsibility for clients, people and the wider development of the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Act as a senior member of the Southeast Asia team, with a primary focus on strategic intelligence, business intelligence, integrity and reputational due diligence, and related advisory matters.
Lead multijurisdictional strategic intelligence and due diligence engagements, defining clear lines of enquiry aligned with the client's commercial and strategic objectives.
Lead projects throughout their lifecycle, including scoping, client discussions, proposals, budgeting, resourcing, execution, quality assurance, delivery and invoicing.
Direct and assess public-record research, source enquiries and other appropriate intelligence methods, turning findings into well-supported judgments and practical recommendations.
Serve as a trusted adviser, communicating confidently with senior stakeholders and maintaining strong client relationships throughout and beyond engagements.
Collaborate across Southeast Asia and Kroll's global network, drawing on country, sector and functional expertise to deliver integrated advice.
Support the Managing Director and senior colleagues in developing opportunities through proposals, pitches, relationship follow-ups and thoughtful identification of client needs.
Contribute to the team's profile by attending relevant events and, where appropriate, participating in speaking engagements and co-authoring articles, briefings and market insights.
Lead and develop project teams, setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback and creating an inclusive environment in which colleagues can perform and grow.
Support workforce planning and recruitment by identifying talent needs, interviewing candidates, contributing to hiring decisions and helping new colleagues integrate successfully.
Manage team capacity and performance, coach colleagues and support their longer-term professional development, while demonstrating sound judgment, commercial awareness and a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
10+ years of relevant experience in strategic intelligence, business intelligence, integrity due diligence, risk advisory, journalism, political or economic analysis, compliance or a related field.
Experience leading sophisticated strategic intelligence or due diligence engagements across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong analytical capability: able to test competing hypotheses, evaluate source reliability and turn incomplete information into clear, defensible judgments.
Strong understanding of the Southeast Asian business environment, including political, economic, regulatory, reputational and commercial risk dynamics, with curiosity about developments beyond the region.
Strong client and interpersonal skills, with the confidence and judgment to build trust, manage senior stakeholders and work effectively across cultures.
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with sound judgment in resourcing, performance management and hiring.
Commercial awareness and an interest in progressively contributing to client development, industry engagement and thought leadership.
Excellent written and verbal English, including the ability to produce compelling reports and present complex findings clearly to senior audiences.
Ability to think independently, handle ambiguity and sensitive information with discretion, and work collaboratively across diverse regional and global teams.
