To lead and deliver complex Equity Finance & Investment (EF&I) solutions across the deal lifecycle, by managing and executing the end-to-end design and implementation of client centric Real Estate Finance solutions, that deliver exceptional client experience with a noticeable impact on the Structured Capital revenue targets, market share growth and maintaining the CIB brand as the Go-To Lending Bank. Essential Functions of the role include : Act as the trusted partner by providing expert opinion, insights on best-in-class EF&I Solutions that win client business by leveraging internal sector expertise to optimise and strengthen the solution, ensuring the needs of the client are met. Lead post pitch follow-ups with clients to finalise commercial terms and close deals. Drive the achievement of objectives and delivery of EF&I and Real Estate Finance solutions, by providing on the job guidance and effectively leading and managing a team by setting targets, reviewing the quality of work, providing feedback and promoting personal and professional development to build capability within the team and enhance performance. Manage the EF&I and Real Estate Finance solutions pitch book, planning for quality and execution (excellence) and approve final proposals, pitch books and other client content, adding expert opinion and refining recommendations for use in client engagements. Oversee the deal closing process, as well as lead negotiations for complex deals, and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to complete all contracting requirements, deal commercial terms and closing processes to drive the realisation of commercial targets, maximising shareholder returns and growing IB revenue. Present to relevant committees and stakeholders to obtain buy-in, approval for complex deals. Review loan agreements, prepare pre-screens and final committee papers / applications for new financing opportunities to ensure compliance with credit approved terms, credit sanctions and CIB risk and regulatory framework Provide insight and recommendations into the development and execution of the EF&I goal and objectives to optimise client and / or shareholder returns, grow IB revenue and protect / grow the Lending market share. Post Graduate Degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting Post Graduate Degree in Property Studies 5-7 years previous Investment Banking experience in Advisory, Private Equity or Debt Solutions.Knowledge of the markets in which Standard Bank operates and experience working in South Africa and / or Africa regions in leading, originating and implementing client solutions. 5 - 7 years experience in leading and supporting Commercial Property Finance deals 5 - 7 years In depth understanding and knowledge of local and global Lending products / solutions to effectively develop and present innovative client solutions. 5-7 years experience in coaching, managing, leading and coordinating teams with a proven track record of delegating and prioritising task, setting KPI's and conducing performance discussions Behavioural Competencies: Convincing People Directing People Establishing Rapport Examining Information Exploring Possibilities Generating Ideas Impressing People Interpreting Data Making Decisions Pursuing Goals Seizing Opportunities Understanding People Technical Competencies: Business Insights International Market Knowledge Product Development Risk/ Reward Thinking
