Job Description This is a remote position. OVERVIEW: The role of Senior Video Editor is to independently manage the full post-production process — from ingest through to final delivery — for story-driven brand and advertising content for Australian businesses. This is a senior creative role, not a technical executor. The right person brings genuine storytelling instinct: reviewing and interpreting creative briefs, shaping story structure and pacing, and making editing decisions that elevate the final piece with minimal oversight. JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES: As Senior Video Editor you are: ● Responsible for editing live action video projects end-to-end using Adobe Premiere, including case studies, online brand commercials and social media content. ● Responsible for interpreting creative briefs (including via voice message) and understanding desired tone and messaging without requiring heavy direction. ● Responsible for identifying the strongest moments within footage and crafting compelling, interview-led narratives from interviews and b-roll. ● Responsible for story structure, pacing and music selection that reflect each brand's particular tone — not a templated or broadcast-style approach. ● Responsible for organizing projects and media according to a system provided during training. ● Responsible for maintaining consistent post-production workflow standards and high attention to detail. ● Responsible for proactive communication on progress, timelines and challenges throughout each project. ● Occasionally handing off in-progress projects to another editor at various stages, when required. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for someone who has: ● English proficiency of C1 or above — this is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have. This role edits interview-led content and takes briefs via voice message, so strong English is essential to avoid confusion and produce natural, engaging flow. ● Advance Proficiency in Adobe Premiere as primary editing tool — either currently or previously. Familiarity alone is not enough. ● A portfolio of bespoke, story-driven brand or advertising content. ● Experience working independently as a video editor, ideally on story-driven advertising content, with minimal creative oversight. ● Strong technical editing skills and efficient workflow/project management. ● A proactive, self-directed working style — able to take feedback constructively while confidently contributing creative input. Nice to Have: ● Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop experience (photography post-production). ● Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Illustrator). ● Basic motion graphics/animation experience (Adobe After Effects). Requirements TYPE OF POSITION, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: ● 25–38 hours per week, hours spread flexibly across the week. ● Opportunity for ad hoc extra hours during busy periods. ● Work From Home setup. ● Independent, execution-focused role; minimal day-to-day collaboration ● Suited to someone who prefers consistency and structure, with room for growth over time. SALARY AND BENEFITS: ● Salary: $11 AUD per hour ● Paid Australian Holidays ● Paid Time off Benefits ● Permanent Work from Home ● HMO after 90 days ● 13th month pay bonus ● Supportive Team
