AND THE NEW is an award-winning, social-first strategic marketing agency working with leading sports, culture and entertainment brands. We help ambitious rights-holders, teams, leagues and brands grow through platform-native content, sharp creative and intelligent distribution.
We are hiring a Senior Video Producer & Editor to lead trackside shooting and editing for a global Formula 1 client throughout the 2027 season and beyond. You'll need to be as strong in the edit as you are behind the camera.
This is not an occasional-shoot role. You will be our on-the-ground capture lead in the F1 paddock for the majority of the season, from pre-season testing in February to the final round in December. You'll work across a defined series of recurring content formats, filming everything from pieces to camera minutes after the chequered flag to detailed films and unscripted conversations with talent and fans alike.
Everything you capture feeds our wider editing, design and social teams, who turn it into content for a global audience across every major platform. Your footage and edits are the raw material the whole programme is built on. While F1 will be your main focus, you'll also shoot and edit across our wider portfolio of sports, culture and entertainment clients between races.
If you want to spend a season in the F1 paddock, working at the sharp end of one of the most demanding environments in sport, and you're good enough to deliver consistently, this is the role.
AT A GLANCE
- 🕑 Full-time in-house role, starting early January 2027.
- 🏁 Formula 1 trackside shooting and editing is your main focus, covering the majority of the 2027 calendar, with work across our wider client portfolio between races.
- ✈ Heavy international travel: on-site Wednesday to Monday on race weeks, including occasional back-to-back double and triple-header races.
- 🎥 All camera, audio and rigging kit provided.
- 📍London-based (hybrid, office days when not travelling). Must be UK-based with the right to work in the UK.
- 📆 Ideally 4+ years’ experience shooting and editing in live sport or event settings, with F1 or top-tier motorsport trackside experience strongly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the primary trackside shooter and editor for an F1 client across most of the 2027 season, typically working solo in the paddock from Wednesday to Monday.
- Deliver a defined system of recurring content formats every race weekend, shot consistently enough that each one is instantly recognisable, whichever circuit or garage it's filmed in.
- Capture fast, unscripted post-session pieces to camera within minutes of the chequered flag.
- Film longer unscripted conversations (3–5 minutes) with talent and fans.
- Shoot close, tactile, sound-led detail films of components and engineering process, where the visual language is deliberately minimal and real sound matters more than a music bed.
- Approach and film members of the public for fan-led stories at the circuit.
- Switch between two visual registers on the same day: cinematic, intentional hero capture, and deliberately raw, handheld, access-led capture. Both are a craft here; low-fi is a style choice, not a fallback.
- Edit on-site and on the road to a high standard, often same-day for same-weekend publication, and turn footage around fast for our remote editing, design and social teams. Capture stills when the moment calls for it.
- Own pre-production for every weekend: shot lists, format plans, kit requirements and logistics, working from content plans signed off with the client ahead of each race.
- Manage your kit, media offloads and backups with total discipline across flights, countries and border crossings, often back-to-back.
- Work within F1 paddock accreditation rules, restricted zones and media conventions at all times.
- Support additional client shoot days in the UK, and shoot and edit across the wider AND THE NEW client portfolio.
- Report into our Content Production Director and work day to day with the account's producer and social team, who set scheduling and priorities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience as a videographer in live sport, ideally trackside in F1 or top-tier motorsport. Paddock accreditation experience and an understanding of how access works on a race weekend is a strong advantage.
- A showreel that proves you can capture the moment on your own, not just set up a shot.
- Genuine self-sufficiency on location: confident shooting and recording clean audio solo, with strong lav and on-camera mic technique and no sound operator to rely on.
- Range across styles: cinematic, controlled capture and authentic, handheld documentary-style shooting, plus close macro and product-style detail work.
- Equally strong as an editor: advanced Adobe Premiere Pro, working knowledge of After Effects, and solid colour correction and sound design. You'll cut fast and clean on-site, under time pressure, without dropping quality. Stills photography is a strong plus.
- Direct experience creating content for social channels, with an understanding of what makes footage work for vertical, short-form and platform-native edits.
- The people skills to build trust quickly with team members and fans who are not natural on-camera talent, often in windows of 10–15 minutes.
- Absolute discretion. You will be present for conversations and moments that are not for publication, and you need to be trusted with them.
- A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally throughout the season, plus flexibility on evenings and weekends around the race calendar.
- A clear communicator who flags problems early and keeps the remote team informed from the paddock.
WHAT GREAT LOOKS LIKE
You land on Wednesday with the weekend's shot list ready, kit charged and media cards cleared. You know the paddock, the access windows and exactly where you need to be when the session ends. On a bad result day, you still get a usable take without making the moment harder for the person in front of the camera. Your same-weekend edits land on time, and the rest of your footage reaches the remote team quickly, clearly labelled and backed up twice. By mid-season, the team trust you, the formats look consistent from Melbourne to Las Vegas, and the client sees you as a natural part of their trackside team.
WHO THRIVES HERE
People who are high-agency, self-sufficient and genuinely energised by life on the road. You don't need anyone on-site to tell you what to film next. You make good calls under pressure, stay level-headed through a long season, and hold your standards on race 20 the same as race one. You're equally happy with a patient five-minute conversation and a 60-second piece shot against the clock.
WHO THIS MIGHT NOT BE FOR
While you will not attend all races, this is one of the most travel-intensive roles in our business. If you're looking for occasional trips or a role with minimal travel, this won't be the right fit.
BENEFITS
- Competitive salary.
- 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays + birthday off.
- Time off in lieu for weekend work.
- Hybrid working (Central London office) when not travelling.
- A full season trackside in Formula 1, travelling to races across five continents.
- Employee Lifestyle and Discounts Benefits scheme.
- Annual training budget to drive your personal development and continual learning in an area of your choice.
- Opportunity to grow with a rising agency making award-winning work.
HOW TO APPLY
Send your CV and a showreel. Tell us which shots you captured yourself, which you edited, and whether you were shooting solo. If you've worked trackside in F1 or other top-tier motorsport, tell us which series, which seasons and what access you held.
We actively welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and industries. At AND THE NEW, we believe great ideas are born from difference and we’re building a team that reflects that.
