The role

We are looking to strengthen our internal System Administration team of 12 colleagues. This team is responsible for our customised hosting solutions, tailored to our customers’ needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for the optimal management and uptime of our server infrastructure. The focus is on Windows environments, offering you plenty of opportunities to develop your technical expertise in depth.

Together with your colleagues, you will be the main point of contact for customers when it comes to managing their infrastructure: cloud, dedicated servers, firewalls, load balancers, and much more. You will log issues and ask the right questions to gather as much relevant information as possible. Based on your findings, you will provide fast, customer-focused solutions. You will ensure proper follow-up and communication with customers, contributing to consistently high customer satisfaction.

Through your thorough follow-up, you will help ensure the optimal functioning of our operational infrastructure and be responsible for delivering customer environments. This means you will be involved in setting up, managing, and supporting these environments.

You will learn something new every day while keeping your knowledge of Combell’s products up to date. The wide variety of cases you encounter will make the role both challenging and varied, requiring flexibility in your day-to-day work.

What will you do?

• Develop and implement solutions, including setting up, managing, and supporting our Windows environments.

• Monitor and maintain the operational infrastructure, including backups, patching, monitoring, offline servers, maintenance, and more.

• Take responsibility for implementation, documentation, and handover.

• Listen to customers, analyse their issues, and respond accurately to their problems and questions.

• Escalate complex issues in a timely manner.

• Ensure quality across documentation, communication, and solutions.

• Handle internal IT escalations.

With which technologies?

• Windows: Windows Server, Active Directory, RDS, O365, Exchange, IIS, load balancers, and more.

• Database technologies such as MSSQL.

• Scripting (PowerShell) and automation (Ansible).

• Clustering, virtualisation (VMware, KVM), networking, firewalls, security concepts, storage (NetApp), backups (Veeam), and more.

Our System Administration team works with a broad range of technologies. While the main focus of this role is on Windows, you may also encounter some Linux-related tasks. However, knowledge of Linux is not a requirement.

Voor ons intern Systeembeheer team van 12 collega’s zoeken we versterking. Dit team is verantwoordelijk voor onze op maat gemaakte hostingoplossingen, aangepast aan de noden van de klant.

Binnen deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor het optimaal beheer en de uptime van het serverpark. De focus van deze functie ligt op Windows-omgevingen, je zal jezelf diep technisch kunnen ontplooien.

De functie

Samen met je collega’s ben jij het aanspreekpunt voor klanten bij het beheer van hun infrastructuur: cloud, dedicated servers, firewalls, loadbalancers, en zoveel meer. Je registreert problemen en door je vraagstelling verzamel je zoveel mogelijk bijkomende informatie. Op basis daarvan bied je een snelle en klantgerichte oplossing voor het probleem. Je verzekert de opvolging en communicatie naar de klant en je werkt mee aan constante klantentevredenheid.

Door je nauwgezette opvolging zorg je voor het optimaal functioneren van de operationele infrastructuur en ben je verantwoordelijk voor de opleveringen van klantenomgevingen. Je staat dus zowel in voor het opzetten, beheren als supporteren van de klantenomgevingen.

Je leert elke dag bij en je houdt vinger aan de pols van de Combell productkennis. De verscheidenheid aan diverse cases draagt bij tot uitdaging & flexibiliteit in het takenpakket.

Wat ga je doen?

• Het uitwerken van oplossingen. Zowel het opzetten, beheren als supporteren van onze Windows-omgevingen.

• Opvolgen van de operationele infrastructuur (backups, patching, monitoring, servers offline, maintenance,…).

• Verantwoordelijk voor de implementatie, documentatie en overdracht.

• Luisteren, analyseren en correct beantwoorden van problemen en vragen van klanten.

• Tijdig escaleren van complexe issues.

• Kwaliteit garanderen (documentatie, communicatie, oplossingen).

• Internal IT-escalaties opvangen.

• Je hebt meerdere jaren ervaring als Windows system engineer.

• Je hebt een passie voor Windows en wenst jezelf verder te ontwikkelen als systeembeheerder.

• Je bent zeer leergierig en staat open om je in onze technologie-stack te verdiepen.

• Je bent sterk in communicatie, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk. Je spreekt en schrijft feilloos Nederlands. Een onberispelijke spelling is voor jou vanzelfsprekend.

• Je werkt nauwkeurig en resultaatsgericht.

• Je bent analytisch ingesteld.

• Je bent een echte teamspeler.
