Their focus is on delivering real-world local growth ranking where local customers search, driving inbound phone calls, and generating verified lead form submissions. About the Role We are seeking a proactive, detail-obsessed, and client-facing SEO Account Manager to take complete ownership of the organic strategy and client communication for a roster of 16 to 25 home service accounts. Reporting directly to agency leadership, this role features a unique operational setup: technical SEO fulfillment and heavy labor execution are handled by an external partner agency, meaning your primary focus is standing between the contractor and the client to ensure world-class quality control, clear strategy, and exceptional client retention. In this role, you will act as a Quality Assurance auditor, account manager, and strategic advisor all in one. You won't just take the contractor’s word that work was completed; you will inspect published pages, verify local keyword rankings, track inbound form submissions, run monthly client check-in calls, and drive true accountability so nothing slips through the cracks. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary bridge between the agency and the external SEO fulfillment partner, setting clear campaign goals, auditing their work, and holding them accountable to deadlines and quality standards. Perform ongoing quality control checks on client websites (Webflow/WordPress) to verify that on-page optimizations, localized content, and schema implementations are correctly published before marking tasks complete. Lead regular, monthly virtual check-in calls with local business owners, translating complex SEO performance into clear stories focused on leads, phone calls, and ROI. Monitor account health against core commercial metrics, focusing on month-over-month website form submissions, local map pack visibility, and client retention. Keep account tasks, client reporting, and contractor follow-ups tightly organized and updated inside ClickUp . Identify performance dips, missed contractor deadlines, or ranking gaps proactively and take ownership to resolve them. 3 to 5 years of professional SEO experience, with a strong emphasis on Local SEO (Google Business Profile, local map packs, localized keyword strategy, and lead generation). Fluent written and spoken English with the confidence to lead virtual meetings with U.S. small business owners. Experience managing local service business accounts (roofing, plumbing, HVAC, pool services, landscaping, dentists, mechanics, etc.); pure e-commerce-only experience will not be considered. Hands-on operational experience with ClickUp or similar project management systems. Web development familiarity (specifically with WordPress or Webflow ) to audit on-page implementations and check published work will be a plus Benefits Salary: Competitive monthly compensation starting at $3,000 USD (plus) , negotiable based on experience and overall fit.
