About the role
You will support the lead on SEO and GEO strategy for a portfolio of agency clients, supporting delivery from first audit to reporting. This is a hands-on role for a strategist who can move between keyword research, technical fixes, AI search visibility and one that would grow into more client-facing involvement as your skillset advances. You will be the supporting strategist on retainer accounts, while being mentored by your lead strategist. Delivery and cross collaboration with PR, paid, social and creative teams is crucial, so search is considered as a part of the larger strategy in place. Clients span B2B and B2C, national and local, and regulated and consumer industries, so curiosity and adaptability matter as much as any single tool.

What you'll do
On-page SEO and content strategy
- Build content strategies that earn qualified organic traffic and turn it into leads, sales or bookings, not just clicks.
- Map keywords to the right content type and intent, and plan multiple pieces across different areas of a site so each one has a clear job in the buyer journey.
- Recommend on-page changes and page-template updates that give important pages room for richer, more useful content.
- Use internal linking, topical depth and site context to strengthen the pages that matter most.
- Plan content for national, regional or local footprints based on each client's industry and service area, including location pages and Google Business Profile optimization.
- Spot content decay and cannibalization, and decide when to refresh, consolidate or retire a page.
Technical SEO
- Support technical SEO audits and provide findings and data to be turned into a prioritized roadmap based on impact, effort and business value.
- Familiar with the value of Core Web Vitals, structured data, and clean URL and folder architecture in terms clients and developers both understand.
- Own the fundamentals with precision: title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, canonicals, redirects, XML sitemaps and robots.txt.
- Connect GEO work to the SEO fundamentals it depends on, including crawlability for AI crawlers, structured data, and content that is easy to extract and cite.
- Analyze which sources AI platforms cite in a client's category (owned pages, earned media, reviews, forums, directories) and build strategy around that mix.
- Research the prompts and questions real buyers ask across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude.
- Stay current on how AI search changes and translate what's new into practical recommendations, without chasing hype.
- Report organic and AI search results in business terms: pipeline, revenue, leads, bookings or enrollments, depending on the client.
- Use keyword intent and the buyer journey to explain complex targeting strategies in plain language.
- Able to present reporting outcomes to internal teams, and willing to attend client reporting sessions as a means for rapport building.
- Fully accountable to SEO retainer delivery as the direct support to client strategy leads.
- Manage workload, hours and timelines across several accounts so work stays on budget and on schedule.
- Work in partnership with other supporting strategists, fostering a team environment and interdependency with one another.
- Spot growth opportunities within existing accounts and support new-business audits.
What you bring
Must-haves
- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 1 in an agency or multi-client environment.
- A track record of organic growth you can explain with real numbers and the business impact behind them.
- Working fluency in Semrush (or Ahrefs), Screaming Frog, Google Search Console and GA4.
- A clear, curious point of view on how AI is changing search.
- Experience with Profound or another GEO/AI visibility platform (Semrush AI Toolkit, Peec AI, Otterly or similar).
- Local SEO and listing management tools such as Yext, BrightLocal or Uberall.
- Familiarity with digital PR or link earning.
What you’ll get:
- Competitive salary and benefits
- Remote and hybrid working flexibility
- A wellness subsidy
- A manager who provides consistent 1:1 check-ins, feedback, and growth opportunities
- Culture-building events and cross-team collaboration
- Career advancement opportunities within a growing agency
- A strong emphasis on work-life balance
What you’ll be a part of:
- An established and still growing agency that values creativity and collaboration.
- A global team of experts who support each other and strive to achieve excellent results for clients.
- A culture that promotes diversity, work-life balance, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
