SLS Alliance is looking for a results-driven Middle Service Engineer to support the high-priority QazPost project in Astana, Kazakhstan. This is a hands-on field engineering role with immediate operational impact: restoring and stabilizing drop-off functionality at active sites. Requirements
- Job level: Middle-level service engineer with proven hands-on field experience and a track record of completing technical service tasks independently.
- Years of experience: No fixed number of years is specified, but candidates must demonstrate practical, results-oriented experience in service engineering, field maintenance, installation, or technical support roles.
- Hands-on experience working with scales and related service, adjustment, or troubleshooting activities.
- Practical experience with a camera used for measurements or similar technical imaging / measurement devices in field conditions.
- Strong working knowledge of cable management, cable routing, organization, reconnection, and general cable infrastructure service work.
- Ability to perform installation, service, dismantling, and fault response tasks accurately and efficiently on site.
- Comfort working in a field-based environment, traveling between service locations in Astana as operational requests arise.
- Ability to diagnose technical issues, prioritize corrective actions, and restore equipment to operational status with minimal supervision.
- Experience using a service application or similar digital tool for managing work orders, service requests, and reporting.
- Required language skills: Russian and English for communication, coordination, and service documentation.

Responsibilities
- Restore and re-activate drop-off operations in Astana, ensuring systems return to stable working condition as quickly and safely as possible.
- Perform on-site service, diagnostic, installation, dismantling, and repair work for QazPost equipment and related infrastructure.
- Work directly with scales, measurement camera systems, and associated service components to identify faults and complete corrective actions.
- Execute cable management and cable infrastructure work, including routing, organization, reconnection, and physical serviceability improvements.
- Respond to field service requests across multiple addresses in Astana, maintaining professionalism, speed, and technical accuracy on every visit.
- Handle false-call visits appropriately by validating equipment status, documenting findings, and closing requests correctly.
- Use the designated service application to track tasks, update job status, record completed work, and maintain accurate service documentation.
- Conduct technical assessments on site and determine the most efficient path to restore system functionality with minimal operational disruption.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders and service teams to communicate findings, parts or follow-up needs, and status of open issues.
- Maintain high standards of field execution, equipment handling, and technical discipline in line with structured service processes.
- Support repeatability and reliability of service outcomes by documenting recurring issues and practical field recommendations.
- Represent SLS Alliance professionally at customer locations while contributing to service quality, uptime, and trust in delivery.
