Lead Foster and Kinship Care services across Gympie and Maroochydore and make a lasting difference in the lives of children, young people and carers.
We're looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our Foster and Kinship Care services across Gympie and Maroochydore, driving service excellence, developing high-performing teams and strengthening outcomes for children, young people and carers.
Reporting to the Group Manager, you'll provide operational and strategic leadership across both locations, supporting teams to deliver high-quality, child-focused services while building strong partnerships with carers, Child Safety and community stakeholders.
About the Role
You will:
- Lead, coach and develop teams across Gympie and Maroochydore.
- Drive a positive, child-focused and trauma-informed culture.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with legislative and contractual requirements.
- Build strong partnerships with Child Safety, carers and community stakeholders.
- Manage service performance, workforce planning, budgets and risk.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation across the service.
About You
You will bring:
- Leadership experience within Foster and Kinship Care, Out of Home Care, Child Protection or a related human services setting.
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience managing service delivery, operational performance and compliance.
- Sound understanding of child protection legislation and contemporary practice frameworks.
- A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children, young people and families.
Essential Requirements
- Degree qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Behavioural Science or a related discipline.
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Current Blue Card.
- Current Licensed Care Service (LCS) accreditation.
- Current National Police Check.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly between Gympie and Maroochydore and throughout the broader service region.
