Service Owner (Atlassian)

You’ll be focused in • Building and continuously evolving the Atlassian service offering (Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Jira Service Management), ensuring alignment with existing services and add-ons • Creating and managing the service business case, including cross-charging models within MAN & TRATON Group • Designing and driving the service roadmap, balancing innovation, stability, security, and cost efficiency • Guiding stakeholders at both project and management level, ensuring alignment on priorities, demand, and service improvement • Documenting service processes, KPIs, upgrades, downtimes, and overall service performance • Managing service budget, contracts, and licenses • Planning and communicating upgrades, downtimes, and service changes • Owning customer demand and incident processes while ensuring high customer satisfaction • Monitoring, reporting, and improving service KPIs • Maintaining expertise in Atlassian tools and staying up to date with new features and trends In order to succeed, you’ll need • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable work experience • Proven experience working as a Service Owner, Service Manager, or similar role • Several years of experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Crowd) in Cloud and/or Data Center environments • Strong knowledge of Atlassian Cloud architecture and basic platform architecture/maintenance • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and service management principles • Experience in managing budgets, vendors, and external providers • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills • Ability to prioritize, challenge requests, and balance multiple demands • Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and collaboration skills • Structured, independent, and agile way of working • Great English skills, both written and spoken About the Product The service as a whole provides and evolves MAN’s Atlassian collaboration platform by combining business ownership with technical architecture and operations. It covers the full lifecycle of the service—from strategy, budgeting, licenses, stakeholder and demand management to platform design, security, automation, reliability, and provider coordination. In short, it ensures that Jira, Confluence, Crowd, and Jira Service Management are stable, secure, cost-efficient, and continuously improved to meet business needs.
