We're currently looking for a SERVICE PARTS MATERIALS PLANNING & PROCUREMENT TRANSFORMATION LEADER (H/M) to join our EMEA team.
Key responsibilities
Lead the EMEA spare parts materials planning function, ensuring optimal inventory positioning across EMEA parts centres, warehouses, and service locations.
Support optimization of the EMEA spare parts network through improved inventory allocation and distribution strategies.
Develop and execute inventory strategies that balance customer service requirements with inventory investment targets.
Establish and maintain inventory planning parameters, including safety stock, reorder points, forecast models, and replenishment policies.
Monitor and improve inventory availability, fill rates, and stock health across the network.
Drive inventory optimization initiatives to improve service levels while reducing working capital.
Lead continuous reduction of excess and obsolete inventory through proactive planning, lifecycle management, and disposition strategies.
Collaborate with Engineering and Service teams to manage parts obsolescence, product transitions, and engineering changes.
Support the expansion of drop-shipment and alternative fulfilment models where appropriate.
Lead implementation and continuous improvement of planning and procurement systems, tools, and digital solutions.
Role specific skills & competences:
Degree in Engineering
10 years of experience in a similar position
Knowledge and insight in service operations.
Strong change management skills, dynamically operating in a fast moving environment. Ability to look ahead, and anticipate/assess the system-wide impact & consequence of specific adjustments to the manufacturing/operations network
Skilled at leading strategy & innovation with a forward-looking proactive orientation. bringing Imagination (new & fresh thinking) to the extended team. Ability to formulate a strategic plan aligned to business requirements ensuring sustained competitiveness.
Learning mindset, continually open to new developments and curious about meta-trends and their impact. Resilient in tackling challenges, dealing with problems and addressing issues
Demonstrated success as change agent and advocate for chan
Strong team developer, with excellent collaboration skills. Passionate about establishing a culture of belonging; a visible champion of this work.
Proficient in both writing and oral English. Other european languages would be a plus.
Availability to travel 50% of the time
Preferably based in Vigo, Paris or Madrid
