You will work closely with customers, Services teams, and technical experts to resolve issues effectively and help ensure customer operations continue safely and efficiently.

What will you do?

  • Install, configure, test, and commission industrial automation and control systems at customer sites.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial communication networks, variable speed drives, and related control equipment.
  • Diagnose hardware, software, communication, and application issues; identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Back up, restore, and update system configurations, application programs, firmware, and technical documentation in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Conduct functional tests, loop checks, system integration tests, and performance verification.
  • Support modernization, migration, retrofit, and upgrade activities for installed automation systems.
  • Apply appropriate change-control, access-control, and cybersecurity practices during field interventions.
  • Respond to customer breakdowns and urgent technical issues, including escalation to product or application experts when required.
  • Complete safety preparation and risk assessment before starting work at customer sites.
  • Prepare accurate service reports, configuration records, and customer recommendations after each intervention.
  • Maintain accurate work-order, service-activity, and installed-base information.
  • Communicate technical findings and next steps clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Education

  • Minimum Diploma (D3) in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Refrigeration, or a closely related field appropriate to the specialization.
  • Bachelor's degree (S1) in a relevant engineering discipline is an advantage.

Experience

  • Hands-on experience in industrial automation, control-system commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, or field service.
  • Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial communication protocols, variable speed drives, control panels, and instrumentation is preferred.
  • Exposure to Schneider Electric platforms such as Modicon, EcoStruxure Control Expert, EcoStruxure Machine Expert, AVEVA System Platform, or similar industrial automation platforms is an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates with strong automation fundamentals and practical laboratory or internship experience may be considered for an entry-level position.

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of industrial automation architecture, control logic, and electrical control systems.
  • Ability to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, network architecture, and technical documentation.
  • Basic programming and diagnostic capability for PLC, HMI, or SCADA systems.
  • Understanding of Ethernet-based and serial industrial communication networks.
  • Systematic troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
  • Comfortable using engineering software and digital field-service tools.
  • Customer-focused communication and the ability to work independently at customer sites.
  • Organized and able to manage urgent technical issues while following change-control procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Fluent in spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Working proficiency in English for technical documentation, manuals, training, and communication with technical experts.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently to customer sites across Indonesia.
  • Willing to work outside normal business hours, including standby, emergency service, weekends, or public holidays when required.
  • Willing to work in industrial, commercial, data-center, and other customer-site environments and comply with site-specific HSE requirements.
