ServiceNow Change and Release Manager

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a ServiceNow Change and Release Manager to take end-to-end ownership of Change and Release Management governance across our enterprise IT platform. In this high-impact, single-handed ownership role, you will lead change evaluation, release schedule coordination, and risk governance within a strictly regulated GxP environment.

The ideal candidate possesses deep ITIL process expertise, direct experience managing compliance-driven change records, and the executive presence to represent platform governance in cross-functional forums.

Key Responsibilities

• Single-Handed Platform Ownership: Drive complete end-to-end operational ownership of Change and Release Management processes within ServiceNow—acting as the primary authority rather than a contributor.
  

• GxP Compliance & Risk Assessment: Independently evaluate change risks, determine appropriate approval pathways, and verify that all Change Records contain necessary Computer System Validation (CSV) evidence required for GxP/regulated environments.
  

• Multi-Workstream Release Coordination: Plan, align, and execute complex release schedules across multiple concurrent tracks, including platform configuration, custom integrations, and vendor-driven platform updates.
  

• Governance & Executive Representation: Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and represent the platform in high-level, cross-functional governance forums with internal leads and executive stakeholders.
  

• Process Alignment (ITIL Framework): Enforce best practices across Change, Release, Incident, and Problem management workflows in ServiceNow to ensure minimal disruption to production environments.
  

Requirements

• Total IT Experience: 8+ years of total IT/ITS Management experience.
  
• ServiceNow Expertise: Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience leading ServiceNow Change and Release Management with demonstrated solo ownership.
  
• GxP & Regulated Environment Experience: Proven track record of managing change controls within validated (GxP) IT environments, with a strong understanding of audit trail requirements and validation evidence.
  
• ITIL Framework: Deep knowledge of ITIL frameworks (ITIL v4 certification strongly preferred); clear understanding of how Change & Release intersects with Incident & Problem management.
  
• Decision-Making & Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to assess technical change risks independently and establish correct governance pathways without needing operational escalation.
  
• Communication & Executive Presence: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the confidence to manage executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional discussions.
