ServiceNow Developer / Senior ServiceNow Developer / ServiceNow Architect

Role Description This remote role is suitable for ServiceNow Developers, Senior ServiceNow Developers, and ServiceNow Architects who design, build, and optimize solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications, developing server-side and client-side scripts, and integrating ServiceNow with external systems and APIs. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, translating them into technical designs, and ensuring solutions follow platform best practices and governance standards. The professional in this role will troubleshoot issues, improve performance, implement automation and workflows, and contribute to reusable patterns and documentation for the wider community. As part of the user group ecosystem, the individual is also encouraged to share knowledge, participate in discussions, and support community initiatives and events.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
• Hands-on Programming skills and solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for designing modular, reusable solutions.
• Practical experience with the ServiceNow platform (development, administration, or architecture), including workflow, scripting, and configuration.
• Knowledge of web technologies (e.g., JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON) and familiarity with integration patterns and security best practices.
• Ability to analyze requirements, document technical designs, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in remote, distributed teams with strong time management, accountability, and collaboration skills.
• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD, CIS) are a plus.
• Interest in contributing to community activities, sharing knowledge, and mentoring others within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
