Role Description

We are looking for a ServiceNow ITOM Lead to join a client engagement focused on expanding and maturing the ServiceNow IT Operations Management practice. You will act as the technical lead for Discovery and Service Mapping, owning solution design and ensuring accurate CMDB population and healthy CI data across the environment. This is a hands-on role where you will also guide other developers and set technical direction for the ITOM workstream. For the first months, the role requires working on-site at the client in Gothenburg, Sweden; after the initial period it can switch to remote, with occasional on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, configuration, and maintenance of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping solutions
• Set ITOM technical standards and review the work of other developers on the workstream
• Manage CMDB health, CI lifecycle, and data quality governance
• Troubleshoot Discovery probes, sensors, and patterns
• Build and maintain service maps aligned to business services
• Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, and platform teams to ensure accurate and complete CI data
• Contribute to platform best practices, documentation, and knowledge transfer

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• 2+ years of dedicated ServiceNow ITOM experience, with a focus on Discovery and Service Mapping
• Experience acting as a technical lead and guiding other developers
• Strong understanding of CMDB structure, CI relationships, and CMDB Health dashboards
• Experience troubleshooting and customising Discovery patterns and MID Server configurations
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure, cloud environments, and application dependencies
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with client stakeholders in person
• Available to work on-site in Gothenburg, Sweden, for the first months, then primarily remotely with occasional travel to the client site
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• EU residency required
• ServiceNow CSA, Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM is a plus
