Overall, Purpose of Job: The SharePoint Architect / SME is responsible for the strategic design, governance, implementation, and continuous evolution of KOSTAL's SharePoint and Microsoft 365 collaboration landscape. The role serves as the primary technical authority for SharePoint platforms, providing architectural leadership, ensuring operational excellence, driving modernization initiatives, and enabling secure and efficient collaboration solutions across the organization. The position combines architecture, consulting, governance, development oversight, infrastructure expertise, and service ownership responsibilities to support business transformation and digital workplace initiatives. Main tasks, roles and responsibilities: Act as the responsible expert for Power Platform as a managed tool/service Develop, support and maintain Power Platform solutions and connected services Drive SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives. Define and maintain SharePoint architecture, governance standards, and technical roadmaps aligned with business and IT strategy. Design scalable, secure, and high-performing collaboration solutions across SharePoint and Microsoft 365 platforms. Design and oversee integrations between SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure services, SAP, and other enterprise applications. Enforce best practices related to information architecture, document management, security, compliance, and governance. Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for SharePoint-related projects and enhancements. Evaluate, recommend, and integrate new tools and technologies into the SharePoint and Microsoft 365 collaboration landscape. Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend improvements to the collaboration and digital workplace ecosystem. Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, platform stability, and user experience. Act as Service Owner for one or more collaboration applications and services. Support platform lifecycle management activities including upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, performance optimization, backup, and disaster recovery. Provide incident management, problem resolution, and service fulfillment activities for collaboration platforms. Act as the highest technical escalation point for complex SharePoint and integration-related issues. (low probability) Collaborate with infrastructure teams, security teams, solution architects, Microsoft, and external vendors to ensure successful solution delivery. Perform testing, technical documentation, and knowledge management activities. Mentor and support team members by sharing technical knowledge, standards, and best practices. Special Tasks/ Key challenges: Support the Microsoft 365 transformation roadmap. Drive migration and modernization of legacy SharePoint 2016 platforms and business processes (Nintex to Power Platform). Enable adoption of modern Microsoft 365 collaboration capabilities across the organization. Ensure seamless integration of SharePoint with enterprise applications and cloud services. Provide architectural support for strategic collaboration and digital workplace initiatives. University degree within IT or similar 6 years or more of experience in MS-SharePoint Strong experience with Power Apps and Power Automate Expert knowledge of SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server (2016/2019) architecture, administration, governance, and migration methodologies. Deep expertise in Nintex Workflows, Forms, and business process automation solutions. (optional) Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for SharePoint administration, automation, migration, deployment, governance, monitoring, and operational management. Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, JavaScript and modern web technologies. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). Experience designing and implementing integrations using REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Services, Azure Functions and enterprise application interfaces. Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, identity management, and security best practices. Solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, load balancing, DNS, SSL certificates, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures. Experience with DevOps practices and application lifecycle management. Strong understanding of information architecture, document management, records management, compliance, and governance frameworks. Proven ability to define technical standards, architecture roadmaps, governance models, and long-term platform strategies Fluent English Other languages as per role requirement Required Skills and Competencies: Experienced working in an international, virtual team.
