Shopify Developer & Marketplace Operations About the role You will work alongside our lead developer on our Shopify Plus store and our marketplace channels such as TikTok Shop, Temu and Shein. They set the direction and review your work; you turn requirements into tested, live changes. We’re looking for someone who learns quickly, asks the right questions, and understands the business goal behind each task. What you'll do Shopify development •Build and edit theme sections and blocks in Liquid, CSS and JavaScript, from design or written specs •Fix front-end bugs on product pages, collections and the cart, such as variant selectors, galleries and pricing display •Load product content: metafields, metaobjects, product images and the image-heavy product page content blocks •Set up and QA landing pages, promotions, bundles and discounts before launch •Test changes on a duplicate theme across mobile and desktop before they go live •Keep accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and page speed intact in everything you ship •Write short notes on what you changed and why, in Git commits and pull requests Marketplace operations •Create and update product listings on various ecommerce platforms like TikTok Shop, Temu, Shein: titles, descriptions, images, variants, prices and compliance details •Register products for platform campaigns and promotions, and set up our own discounts and deals within each platform’s rules •Monitor inventory health across Shopify, TikTok Shop and Temu so no channel runs out of stock or oversells •Flag low stock early using sales velocity, and keep stock levels in sync between channels •Resolve listing issues such as rejected products, policy warnings and suppressed listings Must have •2+ years building or customizing Shopify themes •Solid Liquid, HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript •Online Store 2.0: sections, blocks, schema settings and JSON templates •Comfort with metafields and metaobjects as product content •Strong attention to detail and comfort working in spreadsheets for bulk listing and inventory updates •Git and pull requests •Clear written English and reliable communication while working remotely Nice to have •Running marketplace campaigns and flash deals •Any exposure to Shopify Functions (Cart Transform, Discount) or the Admin GraphQL API •Building custom Shopify apps (Shopify CLI, app extensions, webhooks) •Core Web Vitals performance improvements •Shopify 3rd party apps customizations like for subscriptions, loyalty, etc. •Experience with TikTok Shop Seller Center and Temu Seller Center specifically

2+ years building or customizing Shopify themes with solid Liquid, HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks, metafields and metaobjects, Git and pull requests, strong attention to detail for spreadsheet work, and clear written English for remote communication.

Running marketplace campaigns and flash deals, exposure to Shopify Functions such as Cart Transform and Discount or Admin GraphQL API, building custom Shopify apps with Shopify CLI and app extensions, Core Web Vitals performance improvements, Shopify 3rd party app customizations for subscriptions and loyalty, and experience with TikTok Shop Seller Center and Temu Seller Center.
